Abstract: This invention is a computer-aided method that allows individuals to finance and speculate via advance purchases on the success of films, and various other media projects. To fund their projects, producers transmit or upload a project offering, consisting of future copies of the project with embedded rights to potentially participate in future revenue streams, to a programmed server and the programmed server accepts bids from consumers in the form of reservations to purchase these future copies. The price of the future copies does not change, only the potential revenue split, as applied to all future copies, resulting in a yield auction. The yield auction stays open until consumers and producers arrive at a mutually acceptable revenue split and all available future copies have been reserved. At that time, a group debit occurs, debiting consumers for their future copies and the funds are made available to the producer to make their project.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for selecting and delivering audio, video and interactive media content over a telecommunications network using a media distribution service that enables a remote user to use telephone keypad or voice commands to interact with a media content database to select, access and manipulate stored media content. The media distribution service also provides the ability for one or more remote users to control interactive media content via telephone commands at the same time. The media distribution service is also used to track accounting information using a database for both users and content providers.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for routing a telephone call through a telephone network from a caller to a called party designated by the caller via advertising service apparatus that operates in two modes successively, the parties being in communication with each other in one mode and ads are selected from storage during that mode and the ads are impressed on one or both of the parties during a different mode. Selection of ad messages for use is controlled by many criteria. Delivery of ad is recorded for accounting purposes. The modes may alternate between message intervals whose duration is determined by ad message length and communication intervals whose length is determined by a talking time timer.
