  • Patent number: 9715753
Abstract: Augmented reality is used to simulate the impact of medical conditions on body parts and other objects within images taken of the objects. The simulations enable a user to see how a medical condition can affect the user by dynamically simulating the impact of the medical condition on captured images of body parts associated with the user in real-time. A user can select different medical conditions that are associated with different body parts. These objects are then identified within images containing the body parts using image recognition algorithms and/or user input. Thereafter, the images are modified so as to render the body parts as though the body parts were being impacted by the medical condition. The modifications are made by blending image data of the captured image with condition image data available to the processing system.

  • Patent number: 9540122
Abstract: A computing device may detect that a space object has undergone a maneuver and may attempt to calculate a solution to that maneuver based in part on start and stop times and thrust uncertainties associated with the detected maneuver. However, the computing device may sometimes be unable to calculate an acceptable solution for a detected maneuver given these initial start and stop times and thrust uncertainties. Thus, the various embodiments provide for a computing device and methods implemented by a processor executing on the device for identifying and calculating a recovery maneuver of a space object when an acceptable solution for a detected maneuver cannot be determined. In the various embodiments, a computing device processor may generate a recovery maneuver based on the detected maneuver, and the processor may adjust the start and stop times and the uncertainty values of the recovery maneuver until an acceptable solution is found.

  • Patent number: 9323893
Abstract: Mobile consumer devices are used to communicate with consumer medical devices to either provide update data to the consumer medical device or to obtain data from the consumer medical device. Some data is used to evaluate performance and operation of the medical device or a biological condition of the living being that is being treated with the medical device. Other data is used to calibrate and update the consumer medical device or to enable or disable certain functionality of the medical device. Communications between the medical devices and mobile consumer devices can be performed automatically or on demand, as initiated by a user, a third party, or in response to predetermined conditions detected by the devices.

  • Publication number: 20150379232
Abstract: Diagnostic computer systems and diagnostic user interfaces. Embodiments include displaying user interface elements for receiving a diagnosis a medical condition, and receiving the identity of a diagnosis of a particular medical condition. A plurality of treatment options for the particular medical condition are dynamically identified from one or more databases, and a particular treatment option is selected. A care plan data structure is built, which identifies interactive content related to the particular diagnosis and/or the particular treatment option, and questions related to the particular diagnosis and/or the particular treatment option. The care plan data structure is sent to a server computer system, which causes the server computer system to send a notification of the care plan to a patient computer system. One ore more care plan responses are received, including the identity of interactive content viewed at the patient computer system and response to the questions.

  • Publication number: 20140372955
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide information about a medical condition based on user input. A user is presented with an anatomical assembly representing an anatomical region of the human body. The presentation includes user-selectable display elements which, when selected, indicate an area in the anatomical assembly representing areas in which a medical symptom is experienced in the human body. Upon receiving user input selecting one of the user-selectable elements of the anatomical assembly, the user is presented with a selection of a medical condition corresponding to the selected element of the anatomical assembly. The user is also presented with information about a medical specialist corresponding to the medical condition.

  • Patent number: 8908943
Abstract: Interfaces and other systems are provided to receive input corresponding to anatomical elements. The anatomical elements are rendered on the interfaces or other systems with visual, audio and/or haptic feedback. Simulations of the anatomical elements can reflect the impact of existing and anticipated conditions. Personalized conditions and other data can also be used to modify and personalize the simulations and other output. Various controls are provided by the interfaces and systems to access and modify settings associated with personalized and generalized condition input data. Some simulations incorporate real-time data to mimic personalized anatomical elements.

  • Patent number: 8893037
Abstract: User interfaces facilitate user interaction with virtual representations of anatomical structures that are displayed on computing systems. The user interfaces demonstrably reflect the relative impact of different medical conditions on the anatomical structures. The impact of the medical conditions can be reflected in real-time, as a slider object is manipulated to pull a slide transition screen over the anatomical object. Portions of the anatomical object that become overlapped by the slide transition screens are displayed with dynamic modifications that reflect the impact of the medical conditions associated with the slide transition screens.
