  • Publication number: 20240277343
Abstract: A thrombectomy device (10) includes a retrieval device (12) configured to deploy and subsequently retrieve an associated tethered self-expanding stent (2), the retrieval device including a guidewire (14) having a tip (13) that is radiopaque. At least one electronic processor (20) is programmed to: receive a time sequence of images (35) of extension of the guidewire through a clot during a thrombectomy procedure being performed using the thrombectomy device: determine a geometric change of the tip of the guidewire; identify a completion of the extension of the guidewire through the clot based on the geometric change of the tip of the guidewire; and respond to the identification of the completion of the extension of the guidewire through the clot by: outputting an indication (36) that the guidewire is extended completely through the clot; and/or controlling a robot (16) to stop the extension of the guidewire through the clot.

  • Patent number: 11923732
Abstract: The method of manufacturing a magnetic rotor unit comprises providing a composite magnetic rotor body. The composite magnetic rotor body comprises magnetic particles dispersed in a polymer resin. The composite magnetic rotor body has a hole. The method further comprises inserting a shaft into the hole. The outer diameter of the shaft corresponds to the inner diameter of the hole. The method further comprises heating of the shaft. By heating the shaft, the elevated temperature of the shaft surface preferentially induces the polymer resin from an inner surface of the hole to exude or sweat on to the shaft surface, so as to provide a bonding layer between the magnetic rotor body and the shaft. An apparatus for such manufacture, and a magnetic rotor unit manufactured by such method, are also provided. Such rotor units have wide application, and may for example be used in sensors, electromagnetic generators, pulse generators, motors, magnetic brakes and magnetic couplings.

  • Publication number: 20230346427
Abstract: A lead removal system includes a lead removal device comprising a sheath. The sheath includes a distal separating member configured to separate an implanted lead from adjacent tissue. The sheath also includes a sheath lumen configured to receive a lead engagement device and the implanted lead. A traction applying device is coupled to the lead removal device. The traction applying device is configured to be secured to the lead engagement device and apply traction to the lead engagement device and the implanted lead as the distal separating member of the sheath separates the implanted lead from adjacent tissue.

  • Publication number: 20070033209
Abstract: Removal of white space from XML data retrieved from a database may amount to data corruption. Yet such removal is required in XML data normalization by XML parsers, and is also frequently carried out via one or more optional parser features. Safeguards provided herein protect XML data from such normalization and white space removal when formulating a response in a database. When delivering an XML fragment in response to a client request, an XML document's white space handling rules may be ascertained. Any ignorable white space in the XML document may be discarded, and any remaining white space may be preserved.
