  • Publication number: 20250263929
Abstract: This invention, in embodiments, relates to a roofing material comprising (a) a substrate having a top surface and a back surface, (b) a plurality of self-healing particles embedded into the substrate, and (c) a coating applied onto the substrate having the plurality of self-healing particles embedded therein, to provide a coated substrate. The plurality of self-healing particles can be embedded into the top surface and/or the back surface of the substrate. The roofing material can further include a plurality of roofing granules applied to a top surface of the coating of the coated substrate. This invention, in embodiments, further relates to a method of preparing such a roofing material.

  • Publication number: 20230217967
Abstract: A food preservation system includes a stand with a base and an arm extending perpendicular to a top surface of the base. A lid is connect to the art, and a rigid element is connect to the arm and defines an opening. The rigid element is closer to the top surface of the base than the lid. A first conduit fluidically connects the lid and the arm. A second conduit fluidically connects the lid and the arm.

  • Patent number: 10847975
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques to evaluate power usage and characteristics on a power distribution system. The power distribution system may include local distribution systems as well as transmission systems. Additionally, this disclosure describes techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR), for example, by using two variable characteristics to model a power load as a sum of a constant impedance load and a constant power load.

Date of Patent: November 24, 2020
    Assignee: Avista Corporation

  • Patent number: 9935962
Abstract: Various embodiments provide systems and methods for connecting wireless-enabled products to wireless networks. Customer network credentials may be stored in a server along with a customer identifier (“customer ID”) during one-time registration. When a wireless-enabled product is purchased, a product identifier (“product ID”) and the customer's ID are forwarded to the server, which correlates the two identifiers, linking the purchased product to the customer. When the wireless-enabled product is powered on, the product accesses the server via a public network connection, and sends the product ID and a security token to the server. The server uses the product ID and the security token to authenticate the product. Once authenticated, the server uses the correlated customer ID to look up the network credentials for the customer's private network, and provides the network credentials to the wireless-enabled product.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 3, 2018
    Assignee: QUALCOMM Incorporated

  • Publication number: 20130276051
Abstract: Various techniques for receiving broadcast at a mobile broadcast receiver are described. In an aspect, the broadcast receiver provides user notification and/or automatically launches an application based on user preferences. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver improves channel switching time by predicting future channel selection based on real-time monitoring of user inputs. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver supports drag-and-drop user interface. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver provides additional information associated with a selected broadcast stream. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver processes a broadcast stream and sends output data to an external device for further processing and/or display. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver simultaneously displays live content and stored content. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver simultaneously receives multiple broadcast streams for displayed on one or more display units.
