  • Patent number: 11964335
Abstract: An edger feed apparatus and method of feeding flitches into an edger are disclosed. The flitches are positioned with minimal spacing between successive flitches and with flitches positioned and the edger adjusted so as to yield a maximum value of lumber from each flitch. The edger feed apparatus may include a fetcher assembly to hold a second flitch in an edger ready position while a portion of the first flitch is directed below on an edger infeed mechanism being transported to the edger. The fetcher assembly releases the second flitch on to the edger infeed mechanism when the first flitch has moved clear from beneath the edger ready position. The edger feed apparatus additionally includes a scanner system for creating and storing a digital three-dimensional model of each flitch for determining a sawing solution to be implemented by the edger.

  • Patent number: 11952853
Abstract: Systems and methods for coupling subsea tubular members together are provided. An apparatus may be used to properly orient and/or provide communication between a first subsea tubular member that is being landed on a second subsea tubular member. An apparatus for coupling subsea tubular members may include an alignment sub and a corresponding alignment member. The alignment sub includes: a generally cylindrical body having one or more fluid, electric, or fiber optic lines extending therethrough, one or more couplings coupled to at least one end of the alignment sub, and an orientation profile disposed on a surface of the alignment sub. The alignment member has a profile designed to interface with the orientation profile of the alignment sub. • Patent number: 11949671
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for managing online advertising data secure sharing. One method includes receiving, at a server, a request for proprietary data from a data consumer, the request including a data consumer identifier; retrieving, from a database of proprietary data, proprietary data based on the request; determining, by the server, whether the retrieved proprietary data is at least one of: designated to be processed and designated to have privileges set; processing, by the server, the proprietary data when the server determines the proprietary data is designated to be processed; setting one or more privileges to the proprietary data using the certificate associated with the data consumer identifier when the server determines the proprietary data is designated to have privileges set; encrypting the proprietary data using the certificate associated with the data consumer identifier; and transmitting the encrypted proprietary data to the data consumer.

  • Patent number: 11933899
Abstract: Through discrimination of the scattered signal polarization state, a lidar system measures a distance through semi-transparent media by the reception of single or multiple scattered signals from a scattering medium. Combined and overlapped single or multiple scattered light signals from the medium can be separated by exploiting varying polarization characteristics. This removes the traditional laser and detector pulse width limitations that determine the system's operational bandwidth, translating relative depth measurements into the conditions of two surface timing measurements and achieving sub-pulse width resolution.

  • Publication number: 20230066365
Abstract: Systems and methods for affecting spin qubits. In a resonator, an optical field is generated using photons. The optical field causes a stress field to form in the resonator as portions of the resonator oscillates. These oscillations, tunable using lasers and/or injection locking, drive spin transitions to thereby affect the population of specific NV spin qubits present in the resonator.

  • Patent number: 11539924
Abstract: Multiple projector-enabled content targeting using diffraction grating is provided. A projector of a plurality of projectors in a display device is selected to project a particular color of a plurality of different colors at a predefined intensity to a content slot in a set of content slots via a corresponding diffraction grating to provide different content in full color images to respective viewers of a set of viewers at different viewing angles relative to the display device simultaneously. The different content is projected in the full color images to the respective viewers at the different viewing angles simultaneously using each particular projector of the plurality of projectors to project its particular color of the plurality of different colors at the predefined intensity to each particular content slot of the set of content slots via each corresponding diffraction grating.

  • Patent number: 11498547
Abstract: A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine, an electric machine, and a controller. The electric machine is rotatably coupled to the engine and is configured to deliver electrical power to electrical accessories. The controller is programmed to, in response to a control signal loss between the electric machine and the controller, limit torque output of electric machine to less than a torque threshold that corresponds to the power threshold. The controller is further programmed to, in response an accessory power demand being greater than the power threshold, control the engine to power the electric machine to increase the torque output of electric machine to greater than the torque threshold to meet the accessory power demand.
