Abstract: Disclosed herein is a computer-implemented method of carrying on a conversation, the method including: during a conversation session, receiving an electronic query initiated by a user; based on query data associated with the query, automatically retrieving first result data from a hierarchical taxonomy; in the event that the first result data contains one or more user-selectable options, generating an electronic response to the query based at least on the one or more user-selectable options; and otherwise: based on the query data, automatically retrieving second result data from a tagged-content source and generating the electronic response to the query based at least on the second result data.

Abstract: A computing device includes a processor for receiving data pertaining to a plurality of different items of content. The data for each different item of content including at least one identifier for at least one premise pertaining to the item of content selected from a taxonomy of premises, and including at least one identifier for at least one conclusion pertaining to the item of content. The conclusion is based on the selected premises. A database includes the data pertaining to the plurality of different items of content. The database is searchable upon receipt of a search request based on one or more of the premises. Upon the search request, the processor is constructed and arranged to generate a set of records from the database containing the premises in the search request and generating a set of intersections of conclusions within the database that are based on the set of records.

Abstract: A method and system or research database management is provided. In one aspect a plurality of items of electronic content that comprise similar identifiers of premises and similar identifiers of conclusions drawn from those premises are received at a processor and stored in a database. In another aspect, the identifiers of the premises are received at a processor and the database is mined for intersections of conclusions in the content.
