Abstract: A barrier system may include an impact receiving post having a sidewall defining an inner cavity. The impact receiving post may be bendable and may have a proximal end, a distal end, and a post length as measured from the proximal end to the distal end. An insert may be positionable within the inner cavity. The insert may have an insert proximal end, an insert distal end, and an insert length as measured from the insert proximal end to the insert distal end, the insert length being less than the post length. A foundation cage may be coupled to the proximal end of the impact receiving post. The foundation cage may include a plurality of members that form a three-dimensional lattice structure. The foundation cage may be configured for installation beneath a ground surface.
