Abstract: Some embodiments relate to a wound dressing, packages containing such dressings and methods of their manufacture. Such wound dressings may comprise: a cohesive bandage having a length and a width, the length being substantially greater than the width; and an absorbent pad affixed to the bandage near to but spaced from a terminal end of the bandage so as to form a tail portion between the pad and the terminal end of the bandage.
