  • Publication number: 20100070169
Abstract: A method of doing business in which a Service Provider grants to organizations rights to waypoints to which users may travel and view the organizations' messages. The method may include the steps of granting to the organization the right to the waypoint, receiving from the organization a message to be associated with the waypoint, storing the waypoint and the message in a database, allowing for bi-directional data communication with a mobile device which is able to determine its own location, receiving from the device an indication that the device is at or near the waypoint, and automatically causing the device to display the message when the device is at or near the waypoint.

  • Patent number: 7383174
Abstract: A method of generating and assigning identifying tags to sound files according to standardized criteria that result in substantially unique tags while minimizing differences in sound files that are ideally identical. A number of points in the sound file's unique frequency domain are chosen to create a position in N dimensional space, and this position is used to determine similarities and differences among sound files.

  • Publication number: 20060224971
Abstract: The present invention concerns a system and method for facilitating discovery and promotion of musical works via an electronic network. Broadly, the method comprises the steps of receiving the musical works from artists; establishing a virtual room; allowing a user to enter the virtual room and select one or more of the musical works to play; and allowing the user to chat with a second user within the virtual room. To this broad idea can be added, as desired, any one or more of a large number of enhancement features that further facilitate the discovery and promotion of the works.

  • Publication number: 20040122534
Abstract: A method for facilitating computer-based modeling using a limited set of fundamental elements that can be defined and customized and connected, combined, or otherwise associated using a limited set of fundamental behaviors so as to populate the model to create or facilitate, for example, simulations of actual physical processes, problem solutions, virtual reality worlds, and artificial intelligence experiments. Each type of fundamental element may be provided with a virtual physical characteristic (e.g., color, shape) to allow for visually debugging the model by viewing the fundamental elements and their interactions.
