  • Patent number: 9305471
Abstract: A display system for use by a caregiver team in managing a patient includes a substrate panel arranged to be suspended on a wheelchair with a clock face printed on the front surface with at least one manually movable hand to display a selected time. A first window display on the front surface is manually set a selected time period to visit the patient. A plurality of alternate operations on the patient to reduce pressure issues is printed on the rear and a selected one is indicated to the caregiver by moving a marker so that the caregiver is required by the clock time on the clock face to attend the patient, to carry out the selected action and to reset the clock time by an increment determined by the time period and so that the failure to attend the patient is immediately visible.

  • Publication number: 20150170555
Abstract: A system is provided for communicating to care givers in readily visible graphical form information relating to a) the status of a patient concerning a required mode of transfer of the patient when assisted by a caregiver from one surface to another, such as a bed to a wheelchair, toilet, regular chair, shower chair etc b) a required mode of bed mobility within a bed of a patient when assisted by the caregiver and c) a mode of mobility of the patient so that the caregiver can immediately see the status of the patient concerned for safe treatment of that patient. Each of the display elements has the graphics on a disk movable relative to a respective window in a substrate so as to move a selected one of the graphics to the window to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 8462590
Abstract: A system is provided for communicating to health care workers the turning, positioning and schedule requirements of dependent patients with pressure ulcers, or at risk for the development of pressure ulcers. The system includes a display indicating a clock face divided into sections each with a respective window location for displaying graphics of a display element illustrating a required lying position for the patient. Each of the display elements comprises a disk mounted on the substrate for rotation about a center axis thereof at right angles to the substrate with the graphics arranged thereon at angularly spaced positions around the axis so as to rotate a selected one of the graphics to the window to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 8400880
Abstract: A system is provided for communicating to health care workers the turning, positioning and schedule requirements of dependent patients with pressure ulcers, or at risk for the development of pressure ulcers. The system includes a display indicating a next required position of the patient and a display indicating a time for next movement of the patient to the next position. The time of next movement is calculated by entering an indication of a maximum allowable time for the patient to remain in each position and adding this to the current time.
