  • Patent number: 6551234
Abstract: A vertically-oversized belt supporting specially-strong magnets whose strategic exposure over a selected area of a wearer's torso, including the belly, buttocks, back, lateral or upper abdomen, progressively disintegrates fat and discourages its storage there. More specifically, a plurality of magnets are arranged on the larger center of a supporting portion whose flexibility and overlapping left strap and right strap, with their interlocking left slit and right slit, form a flap-in-slot fastener that attaches the whole belt around the wearer's torso. To reinforce this snug-fitting attachment, an accessory magnet can optionally be placed magnetically over the interlocking, overlapping straps. The prolonged wearability of this magnetic apparatus enables enough exposure to magnetic fields of sufficient strength and surface area to reduce musculoskeletal pain and counteract fat within the wearer's torso, thereby improving health and appearance.
