  • Patent number: 12649101
Abstract: A method for setting a pressure profile of a scratching mechanism having a plurality of rollers positioned in series and configured to exert pressure on input media, the method comprising: for each roller of the plurality of rollers: setting a first respective vertical position of a first end of the roller by rotating a rotating member of a first respective adjustment mechanism operatively connected to the first end of the roller; and setting a second respective vertical position of a second end of the roller by rotating a rotating member of a second respective adjustment mechanism operatively connected to the second end of the roller; wherein: the first and second vertical positions for each roller are different, such that the plurality of rollers have different pressure profiles; and the scratching mechanism further includes a respective scraping roller in cooperation with each roller.

  • Patent number: 12649102
Abstract: A method of removing material from input media passing through a scratching assembly, the method comprising: obtaining a pressure profile for an input media type of the input media; based on the obtained pressure profile, independently setting a vertical position of each end of each of a plurality of adjustable rollers, each adjustable roller in cooperation with a respective scraper roller; conveying the input media along a feed path that passes between each adjustable roller and a cooperating scraper roller such that each adjustable roller exerts pressure on the input media against the cooperating scraper roller according to the pressure profile; and driving each scraper roller via one or more drive motors, such that the scraper rollers remove at least a portion of the material from the input media.

  • Patent number: 12403387
Abstract: A method for adjusting a pressure profile exerted on input media by a scratching assembly, the method comprising: rotating a pin of an adjustment mechanism; wherein the adjustment mechanism is configured so that rotation of the pin causes a threaded end of the pin to thread into or out from a threaded hole of a mounting block connected to an end of a roller, such that rotation of the pin causes a corresponding vertical motion of the mounting block and results in a vertical adjustment of the end of the roller, the vertical adjustment adjusting a pressure profile exerted by the roller on the input media.

  • Patent number: 9659417
Abstract: Systems, methods, and related computer programs are provided wherein vehicle operation data is extracted from an internal automotive network. In an embodiment, a method comprises: i) obtaining data available on the internal automotive network via iterative interrogation; ii) analyzing the obtained data to identify a set of candidate data values having at least one common feature within a suitable proximity margin; and iii) heuristically selecting a candidate data value best matching one or more selection criteria to identify a true value. These systems and methods allow data to be extracted from proprietary and non-proprietary busses in the internal automotive network.

  • Patent number: 9596287
Abstract: Systems and methods for the generation and sharing of vehicle operation are provided. The system includes: a data harvesting device connected to a vehicle, the data harvesting device capturing vehicle information from the vehicle and processing the vehicle information to generate current vehicle operation data; and a computer system in communication with the data harvesting device, the computer system including one or more server computers. The computer system includes a database system for logging the current vehicle operation data, the database system including a profile for the vehicle configured to store the received current vehicle operation data. The computer system is configured to transmit the current vehicle operation data to one or more remote server computers. The computer system is also operable to enable the sharing of vehicle operation data and related information via social networks.
