Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for converting metal-containing waste wood material into livestock bedding having a reduced metal content. Waste wood, such as used or broken pallets is placed in a hammermill having a screen with holes of a larger diameter. The output of that hammermill is then placed in a hammermill having a screen with holes of a smaller diameter.
