  • Publication number: 20210401404
Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein relate to detection of one or more touches by an ultrasound device. An ultrasound device may include touch detection circuitry and may be configured to detect, with the touch detection circuitry, one or more touches on an exterior touch surface of the ultrasound device during ultrasound imaging, and to transmit an indication of detection of the one or more touches to a processing device in operative communication with the ultrasound device during the ultrasound imaging. The processing device may be configured to, in response to receipt of the indication from the ultrasound device, perform an action to control an aspect of the ultrasound imaging based on information included in the received indication. The touch detection circuitry may include capacitive sensing circuitry and/or resistive sensing circuitry to detect a touch made with little or no force.

  • Publication number: 20210038191
Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein relate to prolonging battery life in an electronic device, such as ultrasound devices. A system may include an ultrasound device and a package. The ultrasound device may include magnetic sensing circuitry. The package may include a lid, and the lid may include a magnet. The magnetic sensing circuitry may control power received by communication circuitry in the ultrasound device based on detecting a magnet that is external to the ultrasound device. For example, the magnetic sensing circuitry may disable power rails in the power circuitry that provide power to communication circuitry when the magnetic sensing circuitry detects the magnet. When the magnetic sensing circuitry cannot detect the magnet, the power circuitry may enter a default state in which power rails provide power to the communication circuitry. The ultrasound device may include an indicator that enters a turn-on sequence when the lid is removed from the package.

  • Publication number: 20190125313
Abstract: Described herein are chargers for wirelessly charging an ultrasound imaging device. The charger may include a base member, a transmitter coil coupled to the base member, and a cradle extending from the top surface of the base member and including a surface configured to receive the ultrasound imaging device, where the first surface is disposed a vertical distance above the top surface of the base member. The cradle may be configured such that no portion of the ultrasound imaging device contacts the top surface of the base member when the cradle holds the ultrasound imaging device. The cradle may be configured to hold the ultrasound imaging device so as to substantially maintain alignment of a receiver coil of the ultrasound imaging device with the transmitter coil.

  • Publication number: 20180028159
Abstract: A heat sink device has a non-planar mounting surface and an ultrasonic transducer substrate attached to the non-planar mounting surface. The non-planar mounting surface of the heat sink device is configured to diffuse acoustic waves that are incident thereupon.
