    Abstract: A measuring system includes a sensor and a positioner cooperatively engaged with the sensor. The measuring system may also include a base cooperatively engaged with the positioner such that the base and positioner cooperate to selectively secure the relative position of the sensor with respect to a first and second structure. The position of one of the structures may then be changed, and the sensor may detect the relative change in position. The sensor may communicate this change in position to a controller or other component for further processing.
