Publication number: 20230269105Abstract: A system and method include obtaining and authenticating image files from users such as insured users at the request of an entity such as an insurance provider. The requesting entity may supply an electronic address of the user and a unique identifier. The system may transmit a link to the electronic address. When selected, the link causes an image authentication application to be installed on a user device. The application takes the images securely and separately from a native camera application. Each image authentication application may be customized for each requesting entity. The authentication server may identify the requesting entity that made the request and identify a corresponding image authentication application to be provided to the electronic address. The images from the image authentication application may be authenticated via reverse image search, time, geolocation, and/or other information. The authenticated images and/or related data may be provided to the requesting entity.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2023Publication date: August 24, 2023Applicant: TruePic Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey McGREGOR, Craig STACK, Jason LYONS, Matthew ROBBEN

Patent number: 10361866Abstract: Disclosed is improved technology for authenticating electronic images and storing proof of tampering or non-tampering on the blockchain. An image authentication application of a user device may generate an image. The user device may generate an image hash of the image using a hash function. The image hash may be written to the blockchain. This may occur immediately after the image has been taken. The user device may upload the image to an authentication server, which authenticates the image. At various times, such as after receipt, during authentication, and/or after authentication, the authentication server may generate an image hash of the image using the hash function. The authentication server may write the image hash(es) to the blockchain. As such, a state of the image at various times may be recorded on the blockchain to determine whether or not the image has been tampered with between various times.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2018Date of Patent: July 23, 2019Assignee: TruePic Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey McGregor, Craig Stack, Jason Lyons, Matthew Robben

Patent number: 8677158Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for assigning power management classifications to a process, transitioning a computing environment into a connected standby state based upon power management classifications assigned to processes, and transitioning the computing environment from the connected standby state to an execution state. That is, power management classifications, such as exempt, throttle, and/or suspend, may be assigned to processes based upon various factors, such as whether a process provides desired functionality and/or whether the process provides functionality relied upon for basic operation of the computing environment. In this way, the computing environment may be transitioned into a low power connected standby state that may continue executing desired functionality, while reducing power consumption by suspending and/or throttling other functionality.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2011Date of Patent: March 18, 2014Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Matthew Robben, Jon Berry, Kalin Toshev

Publication number: 20080077083Abstract: An automatic injector separately stores liquid and dry components in respective compartments. When the injector is activated, a fluid-directing member between the liquid and dry compartments causes the liquid component to form a vortex as the liquid flows into the dry compartment. This allows the two components to combine more thoroughly and quickly to form a liquid solution that is delivered to an injection site.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2007Publication date: March 27, 2008Inventors: Steven Griffiths, Robert Hill, Matthew Robben
