Patent number: 12591942Abstract: Implementations generate personalized property recommendations based on experiential data obtained via artificial reality systems and machine learning predictions that correlate user preferences to these properties. A user can be one or more persons interested in purchasing a property, such as a new home. A property buying workflow often includes defining a set of preferences for a desired property and comparing properties for sale with these defined preferences. However, in a conventional buying workflow, defining preferences and doing the comparison is left up to the user and/or the user's real estate agent. Users can often feel overwhelmed by the information, in particular users that do not have previous buying experience. Implementations can integrate machine learning and artificial reality systems into the property buying experience to mitigate the information overload problem and provide meaningful recommendations to the user, such as a ranking of properties that comply with user's preferences.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2024Date of Patent: March 31, 2026Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Gideon Bowie Luck, Donnette L. Patent number: 12415107Abstract: A system for neutralizing embers is disclosed. The system includes a laser turret with a sensor array and a laser emitter configured to dispense laser energy. The laser turret can also include a control system configured to move the laser emitter. The laser control system can receive information from the sensor array and sending signals to the control system to move the laser emitter. Using these features, the laser control system can select an incoming ember based on a thermal signature associated with the incoming ember, and the laser control system can issue commands to the control system to direct the laser emitter towards the incoming ember, and the laser emitter can direct laser energy at the incoming ember. The system can also include provisions to track an ember and determine if an ember has been depleted of fuel.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2022Date of Patent: September 16, 2025Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Matthew Robert Byrd, Dwayne Phillip Wilson, Janelle Denice Dziuk, Ivan Ortiz, Carlos J P Chavez, Bradly Jay Billman, Luis Eduardo Santana

Patent number: 12340328Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a roadside assistance system that may utilize crowdsourcing to collect and monitor user data, such as user input and user behavior, to build a machine learning model. In response to receiving a request for roadside assistance from a driver, the roadside assistance system may utilize the machine learning model to identify a suitable user who may provide the requested roadside assistance within a suitable time, and guide the identified suitable user to a location of the requesting driver to perform the requested roadside service. Furthermore, the roadside assistance system may direct suitable user to supply locations to pick up certain supplies for the requested roadside service. Additionally, the roadside assistance system may utilize crowdsourcing to provide rental vehicles to users.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2022Date of Patent: June 24, 2025Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Robert Lee Black, Timothy Blair Chalmers, Zachery C.
