  • Patent number: 11925377
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to apparatuses, devices, and methods for performing endoscopic tissue resectioning in the gastrointestinal tract. In some embodiments, a tissue resectioning device may include first and second scaffolds each arranged in a tubular configuration. The tissue resectioning device may further include a hook tool engageable with the first scaffold and/or the second scaffold to bias the scaffolds to engage a target section of tissue between the first scaffold and the second scaffold. The hook tool may also engage the section of tissue to pull the section of tissue into the path of a cutting edge of each of the first and second scaffolds. In some embodiments, the tissue resectioning device is provided over a scope, which extends within a lumen of an overtube.

  • Publication number: 20230248370
Abstract: A clipping system includes a clip, a core member and a control member. The clip includes a capsule extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including a channel extending therethrough, and clip arms. Proximal ends of the arms are slidably received within the channel to move the arms between open and closed configurations. The core member is received between and connected to the proximal ends of the arms to couple the arms to one another. The core member includes a locking feature movable between unlocked and locked configurations. The control member extends through a proximal portion of the system from a proximal end to an enlarged distal end housed within a proximal portion of the core member so that a longitudinal movement of the control member relative to the capsule moves the clip between the open and closed configurations.

  • Publication number: 20220323080
Abstract: An example medical device is disclosed. The example medical device includes a shaft having a proximal end region, a distal end region and an outer surface. The medical device also includes a hemostasis clip coupled to the outer surface of the distal end region of the shaft, wherein the hemostasis clip is configured to shift between an open position and a closed position. Further, the medical device includes a tension member coupled to the hemostasis clip, wherein actuation of the tension member shifts the hemostasis clip between the open position and the closed position.

  • Patent number: 11213289
Abstract: A tissue closure device includes a needle and a suture extending therefrom, a proximal head including a proximal slot and a proximal locking mechanism for releasably engaging a first end of the needle in the proximal slot in a first configuration, and a distal head movably coupled to the proximal head so that the proximal and distal heads are movable relative to one another between an open configuration, in which a target tissue is received therebetween, and a closed configuration, in which the target tissue gripped therebetween. The distal head includes a distal slot and a distal locking mechanism for releasably engaging a second end of the needle in the distal slot in a second configuration, the needle movable between the first and second configurations by rotating the needle, the needle alternatingly passed between the proximal and distal heads to thread the suture through the target tissue.
