  • Patent number: 12005186
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a flow therapy apparatus that can implement one or more closed loop control systems to control the flow of gases of a flow therapy apparatus. The flow therapy apparatus can monitor blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) of a patient and control the fraction of oxygen delivered to the patient (FdO2). The flow therapy apparatus can automatically adjust the FdO2 in order to achieve a targeted SpO2 value for the patient.

  • Publication number: 20240182659
Abstract: A method of making an acid neutralizing polymer material includes preparing a first reaction mixture including a buffering agent and an amine salt of either a halogenated tertiary amine or a haloalkyl heterocyclic aromatic amine. The first reaction mixture is added to a first compounding machine and reacted for a time and at a temperature sufficient to produce a neutralized amine. A second reaction mixture including a polyamide material and a strong base is prepared, added to the first reaction product and reacted for a time and at a temperature sufficient to produce the acid neutralizing polymer material. Alternatively, the buffering agent, amine salt of either a halogenated tertiary amine or a haloalkyl heterocyclic aromatic amine, and the polyamide material may be added and reacted for a time and at a temperature sufficient to produce the acid neutralizing polymer material.

  • Publication number: 20240156534
Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques and systems to adapt an arthroplasty system to particular users based on historical arthroplasty procedures associated with the user. Furthermore, the present disclosure provides that settings for an arthroplasty system associated with a user during multiple arthroplasty procedures can be captures. A ML model can be trained to infer settings for subsequent arthroplasty procedures for the user and the arthroplasty system adapted based on the inferred settings.

  • Publication number: 20240154612
Abstract: The application relates to voltage supply in switched-mode driver integrated circuit (IC). The IC has an output bridge with first and second circuit branches, where each of the circuit branches has an output node (102a, 102b) connected between first and second transistor switches (103a, 104a; 103b, 104b) for selectively connecting the output node to respective first and second voltages (VH, VL). There are discrete first and second IC die contacts (208a, 208b) for receiving the first voltage, and the first and second circuit branches are connected to the first and second IC die contacts respectively. Ancillary circuitry (105) is configured to receive a supply voltage from a voltage supply node voltage which is connected to the first and second IC die contacts via respective first and second respectively matched resistances.

  • Publication number: 20240146125
Abstract: An electric machine with a low profile retention assembly for retention of a stator core is disclosed. A first housing houses the stator core. The first housing has an axial end face with a circumferentially extending, shaped profile having recessed portions that project axially inward alternating with non-recessed portions. A portion of the stator core extends axially out from the recessed portions. A core retention spring is disposed circumferentially at the axial end face of the first housing. The core retention spring has direct contact with the portion of the stator core that extends axially out from the recessed portions of the first housing and the shaped profile of the housing. The core retention spring pushes against the portion of the stator core that extends that extends axially out from the first housing, imparting one or more of an axial load and radial load into the stator core.

  • Publication number: 20240134858
Abstract: A database system is operable to determine a query for execution. A disjunction of a plurality of conjunctive normal form (CNF) filtering predicates is determined based on filtering predicates of the query. An IO pipeline is generated based on the disjunction of the plurality of CNF filtering predicates that includes, based on applying at least one type of optimization, at least one shared IO element common to multiple ones of plurality of the CNF filtering predicates. The IO pipeline is executed in accordance with execution of the query to generate a filtered subset of a plurality of rows that each meet at least one of the plurality of CNF filtering predicates.

  • Publication number: 20240128695
Abstract: An approach for facilitating mechanical and electrical connection of electric machines and electrical components in an electrical system using connectors with quick connect/disconnect electrical connectors is disclosed. Each quick connect/disconnect electrical connector can be placed on the end of an electrical power distribution cable that connects with an electric machine or electrical component. The electric machines and electrical components and the electrical power distribution cables can have hollow coolant passages formed therein to receive cooling fluid from a cooling device for direct cooling of the electric machines, electrical components and the electrical power distribution cables.

  • Publication number: 20240115824
Abstract: Systems and methods can determine respiratory rates of a patient using a respiratory device by performing one or more frequency analyses of a signal from the gases flow. The signal from the gases flow can be one that varies with the patient's breathing. The system can include a non-sealed patient interface, such as a nasal cannula in a nasal high flow therapy, or any other patient interfaces. The respiratory system can also detect whether the patient has taken off the patient interface and/or whether the patient connected to the patient interface is talking or eating. Data of the patient's use of the respiratory system and the patient's respiratory rates can provide therapy compliance and long-term trend of use information and/or progress in the patient's respiratory functions and/or other physiological functions.
