  • Publication number: 20220391149
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which may be stored instructions that when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to access first identification information associated with the apparatus and send a portion of the first identification information to a server. A list of second identification information may be received from the server having portions that match the sent portion of the first identification information. In some examples, the processor may determine that the apparatus is authorized to communicate apparatus data of the apparatus to a services provider server based on a determination that the first identification information matches a second identification information among the received list of second identification information. Based on a determination that the apparatus is authorized to communicate the apparatus data, the processor may communicate the apparatus data over a network to the services provider server.

  • Publication number: 20210320786
Abstract: An example printing device includes: printing components; a communication interface to communicate with a server; a memory storing a cryptographic key and a device identifier; and a processor connected to the printing components, the communication interface and the memory, the memory further storing instructions, the processor to execute the instructions. The instructions are to: generate usage data indicative of usage of the printing components. The instructions are further to: encrypt the usage data using the cryptographic key to generate encrypted usage data. The instructions are further to: transmit, using the communication interface, the encrypted usage data to the server for storage with the device identifier. The instructions are further to: receive a request to transmit the cryptographic key to the server to decrypt the encrypted usage data. The instructions are further to: in response, transmit, using the communication interface, the cryptographic key to the server with the device identifier.

  • Publication number: 20140214490
Abstract: Techniques pertaining to automatically pricing a service involving multiple data points are disclosed. A server including a processing component hosts and manages an application. The application may receive multiple data points from a client computer device over a network connection, the multiple data points comprising pricing proposal data for a service to be provided. Multiple pricing points may be determined including a base cost pricing point. The base cost pricing point may be calculated from the multiple data points and indicative of the minimum cost to provide the service. The application may create an interactive graphical representation of the multiple pricing points. Thereafter, the application may receive input from the client computer device indicative of a target cost savings and calculate a target savings pricing point.
