  • Patent number: 11653981
Abstract: In another embodiment, a hip joint navigation jig is provided that includes an anatomical interface comprising a bone engagement portion. A registration jig is also provided that is coupled, e.g., removeably, with the anatomical interface. A rotatable member is provided for rotation about an axis that is not vertical when the jig is mounted to the bone adjacent to a hip joint and the registration jig is coupled with the anatomical interface. An anatomy engaging probe is coupled with the rotatable member for rotation about the axis and is translatable to enable the probe to be brought into contact with a plurality of anatomical landmarks during a procedure. An inertial sensor is coupled with the probe to indicate orientation related to the landmarks, the sensor being disposed in a different orientation relative to horizontal when the probe is in contact with the landmarks.

  • Publication number: 20230151974
Abstract: A hot water circulation system comprises a water heater having a cold-water inlet and a hot water outlet. A water pump circulates water through the water heater to produce hot water. The hot water is circulated to a thermal bypass valve, which is configured to close when hot water contacts a heat activated seal. A bypass circuit is coupled between the hot water outlet and the cold water inlet of the water heater. The bypass circuit prevents hot water from circulating from the hot water outlet to the cold-water inlet when the thermal bypass valve is open and promotes circulating hot water from the hot water outlet to the cold water inlet when the thermal bypass valve is closed. Upon a temperature sensor sensing hot water entering the cold-water inlet, the water heater turns of the water pump.

  • Patent number: 11649985
Abstract: A hybrid tank and tankless hot water system with an inlet bypass and an outlet bypass are configurable between a hybrid heater configuration and an on-demand configuration. In the hybrid heater configuration, the inlet bypass supplies cold water to a cold water inlet of a storage tank and the outlet bypass supplies hot water from an outlet manifold to a recirculation inlet of the storage tank. In an on-demand configuration, the inlet bypass supplies cold water to a cold water manifold for directly providing cold water to hot water heaters and the outlet bypass supplies hot water from the outlet manifold directly to a system hot water outlet. In the bypass configuration, a storage tank and/or recirculation pump are fluidically isolated from one or more hot water heaters to facilitate their maintenance, repair, replacement while still supplying hot water on demand from the hot water heaters.

  • Patent number: 11632998
Abstract: An attachment for mounting on straps extending between a rear opening of a cap. The attachment comprises a first panel having an outer and inner surface, and a clip section comprising a connector and a second panel having an outer and inner surface. The panels are spaced such that the first and second panels face each other and are substantially parallel to each other. The connector connects the first panel and the second panel at the top edge of the first panel and defines a gap between the panels. The gap is sufficient to permit the strap or straps to nest within, such that when the strap or straps are nested, the first and second panels lie on opposite sides of the strap or straps. The first and second panels contain ridges along their edges that engage the strap or straps and keep the cap attachment in place. The outer surfaces of the panels display advertising indicia or decoration and have a cushioned area.

  • Patent number: 11636471
Abstract: The Social Data Tracking Datastructures, Apparatuses, Methods and Systems (“SDTD”) transforms brokerage order request, blockchain transaction request, agency action request inputs via SDTD components into brokerage order confirmation, transaction confirmation, agency action notification outputs. An agency action request is obtained from a user of an agency oversight configured blockchain. A transaction identifier of an unwind transaction associated with the agency action request is determined. An unwind address associated with the agency action request is determined. The agency oversight configured blockchain is analyzed to determine an affected transaction for the unwind transaction, wherein the affected transaction involves unspent crypto tokens that originated from the unwind transaction. An agency blockchain transaction request that facilitates transferring crypto tokens from an address associated with the affected transaction to the unwind address is generated.

  • Patent number: 11599756
Abstract: A flexible chip card such as a credit card or a debit card that incorporates a protective layer that precludes unauthorized access to the chip in the chip card. The protective layer is a highly conductive layer that shields the chip and prevents electromagnetic waves that may be emitted by an illicit device from accessing the chip. This protective layer thus prevents any unauthorized persons from obtaining confidential information from the chip card that may then be used to consummate fraudulent transactions or conduct other illicit activities. In one embodiment, the flexible chip card includes one or more stiffening structures to provide rigidity to the chip card.

  • Patent number: 11568410
Abstract: A system and method for preventing fraudulent credit card or debit card transactions by coupling a smart phone to the credit card or the debit card, and transmitting identification information from the smart phone to the card. The card is normally disabled such that no transaction may take place unless the card is enabled. The card receives the transmitted identification information and compares that information to corresponding information stored on the card. If the received information matches the stored information, the card is enabled thus allowing the transaction to take place.

  • Patent number: 11556316
Abstract: A method may include receiving a first definition of an object type from a first software component and a second definition of the object type from a second software component. The object type may be labeled by an ID. The method may further include storing, in a dynamic graph, a node labeled by the ID, and storing, in a type definition repository external to the dynamic graph, the first definition of the object type and the second definition of the object type. The method may further include receiving, from the first software component, a modified first definition of the object type. The method may further include replacing, in the type definition repository and using the ID, the first definition of the object type with the modified first definition, and transmitting, to the second software component, a message indicating a need to lookup, by the ID, the modified first definition.
