Patent number: 11955238Abstract: Systems and methods for personalizing medicine utilizing the true state of the patient are provided. A number of medical records for a patient are subjected to predictive modeling for various conditions (known as patient ‘true state’). The patient personal information, previous care, and true state may be provided into a state machine in order to determine the resources needed for the patient. The medical resources may be any of laboratory services, diagnostics, therapies and medications. Using the true state information, and number of activities may be performed for the patient based upon the patient's needs. These activities include scheduling lab or diagnostic procedures in advance of an appointment, filling in documentation gaps, identifying items that require additional documentation using the true state, and tracking follow-up. It may also be beneficial to validate the true state.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2022Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Apixio, LLCInventors: Darren Matthew Schulte, John O. Schneider, Robert Derward Rogers, Vishnuvyas Sethumadhavan

Publication number: 20240070004Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing intelligent alert automation (“IAA”). In various embodiments, IAA receives alert/event feeds from several different alerting and ticketing systems via input Redis queues, and uses a triage system to determine whether to process the alert/event or disregard it. If so, IAA may create a flow instance, assign a unique instance ID, and place the flow instance in one of a plurality of jobs queues based on alert/event type and/or or source. An abattoir system retrieves a flow instance from one of the jobs queues (in order of the queue's priority), and processes the next node or step in the flow instance. The flow instance is placed back into the jobs queue for subsequent processing by the same or different abattoir system until no additional nodes or steps remain in the flow, at which point the flow instance is considered complete.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2022Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Kevin Schneider, Angela A. Rash, Troy G. Pohl, Steven Burrell, Matthew D. Schoenfeldt, Shelli L. Hurd

Patent number: 11648049Abstract: Surgical devices, systems, and methods are provided for applying monopolar energy and bipolar energy to tissue. In one embodiment, a surgical device is provided with an end effector that has first and second jaws movable between an open position and a closed position, and a conductive member that extends through the end effector. The conductive member has a retracted position in which the conductive member is substantially disposed within the end effector and an extended position in which the conductive member extends at least partially distally beyond the end effector. The conductive member is configured to conduct energy through tissue adjacent thereto when the conductive member is in the extended position. A trigger coupled to the handle is pivotally movable to move the conductive member between the retracted and extended positions.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 2019Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: Matthew Schneider, Mark Glassett, Richard Timm, Chad Frampton, Monica Rivard, Drew Whitney, Ryan Asher, Paul Borgmeier, Darcy Greep

Publication number: 20230013208Abstract: An automatic isolation switch (AIS) system is provided for controlling a supply of electrical power to a load. The system includes a switch and a controller. The switch is connected between a first power system and the load and between the first power system and a second power system. The first power system includes a grid, and the second power system includes a power source and an inverter coupled to the power source. The controller is configured to detect an adverse power condition on the first power system for supplying electrical power to the load; to isolate, via at least one switch, the first power system from the load and the second power system, in response to the detecting of the adverse power condition; and to activate the inverter of the second power system to supply electrical power from the second power system to the load.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2022Publication date: January 19, 2023Applicant: ASCO Power Technologies, L.P.Inventors: Jonathan HASTINGS, Victor E.
