Abstract: A stabilized aqueous hydrogen peroxide composition comprising an encapsulating or matrix-forming polymer is disclosed. The composition comprises 2 to 30 wt. % of hydrogen peroxide, water, 1 to 10 wt. % poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide) block copolymer, 0.01 to 10 wt. % of a salt of a polymer or co-polymer based on at least a taurate, taurate salt, 2-alkyltaurate, 2-alkyltaurate salt, 2,2-dialkyltaurate, 2,2-dialkyltaurate salt or a mixture of a plurality of these taurates, and at least an acrylic acid, acrylic acid derivative, or comprising co-polymers of acrylic acid, and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer or a mixture thereof, and 30 to 95 wt. % poly(ethylene oxide) homopolymer, 0.01 to 5 wt. % stabilizer system comprising 0.1 to 2 wt. % and 0.01 to 1 wt. % of a chelating agent or a mixture of chelating agents, wherein the composition comprises in total 100 wt. %.

Abstract: A method for delivery of a phytochemical supplement to a corporeal body. The method of delivery comprises providing a phytochemical supplement in an orally acceptable composition and applying the orally acceptable composition including the phytochemical supplement in contact with a feature of the oral cavity of a corporeal body. An oral care composition comprising a phytochemical supplement for one or more of ingestion or trans-mucosal absorption and a method for making the same are also disclosed.

Abstract: A hydrogel for use in oral care. The hydrogel is ion beam cross-linked, the hydrogel is adapted to be disposed in the oral cavity and may be adapted to provide a denture fixative or may be loaded with a whitening agent for use in whitening one or more teeth and disposed on or adjacent one or more teeth and the whitening agent is slow-released to whiten the one or more teeth. Other loading materials may include materials for treatment of alveolitis or malodor, inter alia. The present invention is a new hydrophilic oral and dental cohesive hydrogel sheet designed to securely grip and cushion prosthetic devices in the human mouth with the further ability to slow release antimicrobial or other orally desirable agents.

Abstract: An effervescent foamable two-component oral care composition in which a first component contains an acid, and a second component contains an alkaline source such as a carbonate; wherein one or both of the first and second components also contains a surfactant; and, wherein the first and second components are combinable to form an effervescing oral care foam.

Abstract: A foaming oral care composition of two parts; namely, a vinegar part, and a baking soda part. Also included are alternative additional components such as lemon oil, orange oil, xanthan gum or an oxidizing whitener such as hydrogen peroxide or sodium chlorite. Methods for making and using such an oral care composition are included as well.
