Abstract: Discussed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums that create custom résumés for a particular context for which the résumé is to be used by utilizing online service data. The context includes the position the user is applying for, a recruiter the user or the company is utilizing, the company that posted the job, the user, and the like. Customizations include organization (e.g., putting more relevant experience first), selection (putting some experience on, but leaving other experiences off, determining what education to highlight, and the like), and inclusion of context-related insights. Context related insights may be short facts or statistics.

Abstract: Techniques for publishing a profile timeline of a member are described.. publisher receives, from a device of a viewer, a request to view a profile page of a member of an online social network. The publisher accesses employment data of the member having a first job associated with a first job title at a first employer with a specific duration. Additionally, the publisher can select a plurality of other members, each member in the plurality of other members having a similar job title related to the first job title. Furthermore, the publisher can determine an average duration for the first job title based on information accessed from the plurality of other members, and generate a first timeframe using the accessed employment data of the member. Subsequently, the publisher causes a presentation, on a display of the device, of the profile page of the member having the generated first timeframe.

Abstract: Techniques for facilitating a member of an online social networking service to indicate a future career intent are described. Data corresponding to a career intent action by a member of the social networking service is received by asocial networking service. The social networking service then transmits to the member data corresponding to a career intent questionnaire to be presented to the member, the career intent questionnaire including one or more questions regarding a career intent of the member. A career intent of the member is received by the social networking service as data corresponding to one or more answers provided by the member in response to the one or more questions. The social networking service then associates the received career intent of the member with the member's profile, stores the career intent, and exposes the career intent to a search for candidates corresponding to the career intent.
