Abstract: The present invention provides a photovoltaic device having an optical component that is capable of concentrating solar energy and method of making the same. More specifically, the present invention provides for an on-line produced patterned glass component that is capable of concentrating solar energy and allows for significantly less photovoltaic material to be used in a photovoltaic device. The present invention also provides for an on-line method of making the patterned glass and a method for making a photovoltaic device incorporating the patterned glass described herein.

Abstract: The present invention provides for cost-efficient methods for on-line deposition of semi-conducting metallic layers. More specifically, the present invention provides on-line pyrolytic deposition methods for deposition of p-type, n-type and i-type semi-conducting metallic layers in the float glass production process. Furthermore, the present invention provides for on-line pyrolytic deposition methods for production of single-, double-, triple- and multi-junction p-(i-)n and n-(i-)p type semi-conducting metal layers. Such p-type, n-type and i-type semi-conducting metal layers are useful in the photovoltaic industry and attractive to manufacturers of photovoltaic modules as “value-added” products.

Abstract: There is provided a frame assembly for a foldable workbench comprising a frame assembly for a workbench that is reversibly foldable from an in-use to a folded configuration comprising a central spine; first and second primary work surface frames, each work surface frame having an inner edge, an outer edge and two side edges, wherein each said inner edge thereof hingedly mounts to the central spine such that the primary work surface frames are foldable towards each other; and first and second opposing pairs of legs, each leg pivotally mounting to one end of an outer edge of the first and second primary work surface frames, such that the legs of each opposing pair are foldable towards each other.
