  • Publication number: 20220211312
Abstract: Multiscale brain electrodes can be used for spatiotemporal mapping, probing, and therapeutic modulation of the human brain. The applications for such functional mapping and electrical stimulation modulation span, for example, neurological and psychiatric diseases, and brain rehabilitation.

  • Publication number: 20220074896
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting anomalies in an acoustic signal, the apparatus including: one or more microphones for receiving an acoustic signal of an environment; and a processor implementing: an acoustic signal processing module configured to: analyse the acoustic signal to identify anomalies in the acoustic signal indicative of events occurring in the environment; and classify the anomalies in the acoustic signal into one or more event classifications; and a communications module configured to output the one or more event classifications, wherein the apparatus is located in the environment and includes an environmental enclosure arranged to house the processor and to protect the processor from environmental contaminants.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20210346709
Abstract: Therapy systems with quantified biomarker targeting, including for epilepsy treatment, and associated systems and methods, are disclosed. A representative computer-based method for establishing epilepsy treatment parameters for a patient includes receiving multiple indications of interictal EEG biomarkers over a period of time and processing the multiple indications to produce a processed biomarker. The processed biomarker is then used to identify at least one target location at the patient's brain to receive an electrical therapy signal to reduce or eliminate epileptic activity in the patient, and at least one additional signal delivery parameter in accordance with which the electrical therapy signal is to be delivered.

  • Patent number: 8990106
Abstract: An information categorization system comprising: a potential recipient output harvesting module configured to harvest information content generated by a potential recipient; a potential recipient profile generation module configured to generate a recipient profile representing one or more likely interests of the potential recipient; a comparison module adapted to receive an information content profile representative of content of information content to be categorized and, in response to receipt of the information content profile, to compare the information content profile with the recipient profile to determine a match indicating the potential recipient is likely to be interested in the information content; and an information categorization module configured to categorize the information content into information content for which the comparison module has either determined or failed to determine a match between the information content profile and the recipient profile.

  • Publication number: 20120143965
Abstract: An information categorisation system comprising: a potential recipient output harvesting module configured to harvest information content generated by a potential recipient; a potential recipient profile generation module configured to generate a recipient profile representing one or more likely interests of the potential recipient; a comparison module adapted to receive an information content profile representative of content of information content to be categorised and, in response to receipt of the information content profile, to compare the information content profile with the recipient profile to determine a match indicating the potential recipient is likely to be interested in the information content; and an information categorisation module configured to categorise the information content into information content for which the comparison module has either determined or failed to determine a match between the information content profile and the recipient profile.
