    Abstract: A mobility device configurable in a first walk configuration and a second stair-climb configuration, including a frame with movable front leg portions, a leg-actuation system connected to the front leg portions and a safety-control device mounted to the frame. The safety-control device includes a configuration selector, and a lever connected to the leg-actuation system and configured to actuate the cable actuation system so as to cause the first and second movable leg portions to move from a first position to a second position. The lever remains locked in a first lever position such that the lever cannot be moved unless the configuration selector is in a depressed position, thereby preventing inadvertent movement of the leg portion.

    Abstract: An integral label for composite materials. The label, printed with magnetically doped ink, ink with UV components, ink with IR components may be embedded on the surface of the composite material using a heat curable resin. The indicia on the label can be read with magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) or other magnetic scanning technology or scanners that recognize UV and/or IR components. The label may be made of retro reflective material and reverse printed with opaque ink. The data carrier may be a mesh, paper, porous material, solid resin sheet or the data may be printed directly on the composite. There is no need for visual contrast between the composite, label and/or indicia.

    Abstract: A RFID label capable of multiple uses. Multiple layers allow the label to be removed from an object by separation of adhesive which cohesively fails and then, re-application of the label to a new object by revealing a new pressure sensitive adhesive layer. Similarly, printable face sheets may be removed for multiple printings or the face sheet arranged in a manner which allows distinct regions to be printed in sequence with the previous region being overprinted. To allow passage through a printer after removal, separable liners are included so that the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is not exposed until immediately prior to re-affixation to the desired object.

    Abstract: The present invention sets out a label containing an RFID transponder having a uniform printable surface. The present invention presents a face sheet having an increased rigidity and/or thickness which does not readily conform to the profile of an RFID transponder contained beneath the face sheet. This results in a label having a more readily printable surface, and also presents a label having higher security as a result of the masking of the profile of the contained RFID responder.

    Abstract: A web of linerless label stock having a recording layer on a top surface and an adhesive layer on a bottom surface is provided with registration marks printed onto the adhesive layer. The linerless label stock further includes perforation lines in correspondence with the registration marks. The spacing between adjacent ones of the registration marks may be selected to correspond with desired width of the linerless labels. To process the linerless label stock, the web of linerless label stock is first sent through a flexographic printing system where registration marks are applied to the adhesive layer at constant intervals. After the registration marks are applied, the web of label stock passes through a die station that perforates the web in correspondence with the registration marks. The web is then wound up into finished rolls to be placed on a thermal printer.

    Abstract: A linerless label tracking system enables the tracking and identification of items such as airline baggage or delivery parcels at any point prior to their destination. The linerless label tracking system consists of an RF transponder which includes a memory for storing data that can be read by a user with conventional reading devices. The RF transponder comprises an antenna and an IC chip and is incorporated into a linerless label. The lineress label comprises an adhesive layer and an outer surface layer onto which indicia can be printed. The adhesive layer further comprises a pressure sensitive material. The outer surface layer comprises a direct thermal label or tag stock (paper, film, or combination). The RF transponder is incorporated into the linerless label in one of many ways and the linerless label is then applied to the item to be tracked.
