    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for wireless communications. Some aspects more specifically relate to elevation estimation for determining operating channels and transmission parameters. A wireless communication device, such as a cloud service, may receive geolocation information of an access point (AP). Additionally, or alternatively, the wireless communication device may receive air pressure and temperature information of the AP. Using the geolocation information and building datasets including locations and heights of buildings surrounding the AP, the wireless communication device may identify a highest building and based on its, height estimate an elevation of the AP. Based on the estimated building height and elevation, the wireless communication device may determine a set of transmission parameters for the AP and transmit an indication of the set to the AP.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, an access point (AP) queries two or more height determination geolocation services and uses the smallest reported vertical uncertainty for an automated frequency coordination (AFC) process. In an aspect, portions of an uncertainty region that are above the tallest building in the uncertainty region are ignored during an AFC process. In an aspect, portions of the uncertainty region that are not within a building footprint are ignored during an AFC process. In an aspect, portions of an uncertainty region that are above the height of a specific building in which a particular calculation point is located are ignored during an AFC process.

For example, a computing device can receive, from an access point (AP), an application programming interface (API) request associated with an automated frequency coordination (AFC) inquiry, wherein the API request includes location information indicating a location of the AP. The computing device can transmit, to the AP, an API response including at least an indication of a country in which the AP is located and an address associated with an AFC service for the AP.
