  • Publication number: 20260160255
Abstract: An electrical pump having a printed circuit board (PCB) stator includes a housing which defines a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a pumping chamber fluidly connected to the inlet and outlet. A pumping element is mounted for rotation in the pumping chamber to convey fluid to the outlet from the inlet. The PCB is disposed in the pumping chamber adjacent the pumping element. The PCB carries windings for an electric stator. The PCB has a front face opposing the impeller and a rear face opposing the front face. At least one permanent magnet structure is fixed relative to the pumping element and disposed to oppose the PCB stator windings. Means are provided for enabling a fluid leakage current arising from a pressure differential in the pumping chamber to flow across the PCB front and rear faces.

  • Publication number: 20250132624
Abstract: A PCB stator for an axial flux electrical machine includes at least first and second conductive layers. Each electrical phase winding is formed from an alternating sequence of circumferentially distributed first and second spokes. Each of the first spokes has a radially inner end and a radially outer end and is inclined in a first circumferential direction, and each of the second spokes has a radially inner end and a radially outer end and is inclined in a second circumferential direction opposite the first circumferential direction. The first spokes are disposed in the first conductive layer in M/2 circumferentially distributed groups of N first spokes and the second spokes are disposed in the second conductive layer in M/2 circumferentially distributed groups of N second spokes.

  • Patent number: 12261509
Abstract: In an aspect, an actuator is provided and includes an axial flux motor and an epicycloid gear arrangement. The axial flux motor has a motor stator and a rotor, the rotor defining a rotor axis and having a motor output shaft. The motor output shaft has a first shaft portion that is coaxial with the rotor axis and a second shaft portion that is offset from the rotor axis. The epicycloid gear arrangement includes a ring gear, a cycloid gear, and a gear arrangement output member. The cycloid gear is rotatably mounted to the second shaft portion of the motor output shaft such that rotation of the motor output shaft drives the cycloid gear about the ring gear. The gear arrangement output member is driven rotationally by the cycloid gear about a gear arrangement output member axis that is fixed.
