    Abstract: Systems and methods for connecting a personal entertainment device (PED) using the legacy technology provided in an aircraft, truck, or other vehicle. The system includes a digital content player that transmits audio and video signals in a first format, a video converter that converts the signals to a second format different from the first format, and a PED holder to which the PED is attached and secured. In addition, the PED holder includes one or more points of adjustment that enable a user to rotate and change the viewing angle for a PED attached to the PED holder. The PED holder may optionally include one or more electrical ports that enable the user to charge multiple devices at the same time. In addition, the electrical ports may be connected in a hub configuration that enables the devices connected to the multiple ports to communicate with one another.
