Patent number: 11918517Abstract: A cover system for selectively blocking insertion of unauthorized objects through an aperture of a restraint mount of a patient support apparatus is provided. The cover system includes a cover and an instrument having an interface. The cover includes a brace and a restrictor coupled to the brace. The brace attaches to the patient support apparatus adjacent to the aperture and the restrictor operates in a restrict mode blocks access to the aperture and a permit mode where the restrictor permits access to the aperture. The cover also includes a lock mechanism, which includes a keeper movable between a locked state where movement of the restrictor is inhibited and an unlocked state where movement of the restrictor is permitted. The keeper moves from the locked state to the unlocked state in response to selective engagement between the interface of the instrument and a receiver of the lock mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Stryker CorporationInventors: Michael W. Patent number: 11590548Abstract: An assembly for bending a conduit and a portable conduit bender. The assembly may generally include a portable bender including a base having a base surface supportable on a work surface, a housing supported by the base and defining a housing axis, the housing including a handle engageable by an operator to carry the bender, and a shoe supported by the housing for pivoting movement about the housing axis, the shoe defining a channel for supporting a conduit to be bent; and a pipe threader removably supported by the housing, the threader being operable to pivotably drive the shoe relative to the housing to bend the conduit.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2020Date of Patent: February 28, 2023Assignee: ECM Industries, LLCInventor: Matthew W. Patent number: 11251590Abstract: A cable snake and a method of assembling a cable snake. The cable snake may include a housing assembly defining a cavity; an actuator rotatably supported by the housing; and a tape operable to be wound into and unwound out of the cavity, the tape applying an unwinding force. A force may be applied to the actuator and the housing assembly, the force resisting the unwinding force. A retainer assembly may be provided between and integral with the actuator and the tape.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2018Date of Patent: February 15, 2022Assignee: ECM Industries, LLCInventor: Matthew W. Publication number: 20100253459Abstract: An inductor is disclosed that comprises a magnetic core that includes at least one core segment. The inductor further comprises a plurality of separate conductive wire segments that together form a current path around at least a portion of the magnetic core. Each segment forms a turn around a portion of the magnetic core and the segments are connected end-to-end to form the current path. A first of the plurality of wire segments includes a first leg and a second leg. A second of the plurality of wire segments includes a first leg adjacent the first leg of the first wire segment but not in electrical contact therewith. The second wire segment further includes a second leg adjacent the second leg of the first wire segment but not in electrical contact therewith. The second leg of the second wire segment is in electrical contact with the first leg of the first wire segment to electrically connect the first and second wire segments.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2010Publication date: October 7, 2010Inventors: Alan W.
