Abstract: A system for remotely monitoring an aircraft includes at least one image sensor configured to observe a cockpit of an aircraft, at least one transceiver, and a processor. The processor is configured to execute instructions stored in a memory, which when executed, cause the processor to at least: receive image data from the at least one image sensor, relay the image data, via the transceiver, to a ground-based cockpit simulation system, the ground-based cockpit simulation system configured to display the image data to a ground-based observer, and receive, from the ground-based cockpit simulation system, feedback related to a performance of a crewmember in the cockpit of the aircraft.
