  • Patent number: 12001946
Abstract: Systems and methods that include: providing input information in an electronic format; converting at least a part of the electronic input information into an optical input vector; optically transforming the optical input vector into an optical output vector based on an optical matrix multiplication; converting the optical output vector into an electronic format; and electronically applying a non-linear transformation to the electronically converted optical output vector to provide output information in an electronic format. In some examples, a set of multiple input values are encoded on respective optical signals carried by optical waveguides. For each of at least two subsets of one or more optical signals, a corresponding set of one or more copying modules splits the subset of one or more optical signals into two or more copies of the optical signals.

  • Patent number: 12001282
Abstract: In described examples, a processor system includes a processor core that generates memory write requests, and a cache memory with a memory controller having a memory pipeline. The cache memory has cache lines of length L. The cache memory has a minimum write length that is less than a cache line length of the cache memory. The memory pipeline determines whether the data payload includes a first chunk and ECC syndrome that correspond to a partial write and are writable by a first cache write operation, and a second chunk and ECC syndrome that correspond to a full write operation that can be performed separately from the first cache write operation. The memory pipeline performs an RMW operation to store the first chunk and ECC syndrome in the cache memory, and performs the full write operation to store the second chunk and ECC syndrome in the cache memory.

  • Publication number: 20240104114
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data management are described. A data management system (DMS) may receive a request to access metadata stored in a distributed metadata repository. The request may have a first semantic format compatible with a first version of the distributed metadata repository. The DMS may translate the first semantic format of the request to a second semantic format compatible with a second version of the distributed metadata repository. The DMS may perform the semantic translation according to a label in the request. Accordingly, the DMS may determine whether a current version of the metadata corresponds to the first version of the distributed metadata repository or the second version of the distributed metadata repository, and may access the metadata in the distributed metadata repository based on the request and the current version of the metadata.

  • Publication number: 20240095645
Abstract: A method of generating customizable goal representation is disclosed. A request from a user to view a goal representation is received. A flexible goal ontology is accessed that comprises one or more goal entities, one or more goal relationships between the goal entities, or one or more goal properties, the one or more goal properties including one or more metadata attributes relating to the one or more goal entities. A set of mapping rules is obtained that defines mappings between one or more goals. The set of mapping rules is evaluated to assemble a customized goal representation tailored to the user. The customized goal representation is updated based on a revaluation of the mapping rules affected by changes to the one or more goal entities, the one or more goal relationships, or the one or more properties.

  • Publication number: 20240077781
Abstract: Conventional high performance computer connections are electron-based systems, which require the memory packages to be as close as mechanically possible to the computation engine. Low power and high bandwidth communication, e.g. photonic, links can drastically change the architecture of high-performance computers by eliminating the bottlenecks in communication and augment existing memory systems to allow them to be both high capacity and high bandwidth simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 11920933
Abstract: Techniques for reducing the bias error present in optical gyroscopes is disclosed. Such techniques include at least one path length adjustment member placed in an optical gyroscope resonator, which are configured to modulate the optical path length of the resonator so that bias errors attributable to the optical path length are shifted outside of the bandwidth of the optical gyroscope. In some embodiments, the at least one path length adjustment member includes a plurality of microheaters coupled to the resonator, in which case optical path length modulation is achieved by heating the resonator via the microheaters. Alternatively, a plurality of piezo-electric regions can be placed in the resonator, which enables optical path length modulation through electric field gradients applied to the piezo-electric regions.
