Abstract: A fluid regulator having a body that encloses a chamber includes a gasket, a valve seat, and a valve stem. A fluid inlet and a fluid outlet are connected to the chamber and the gasket fluidly separates a portion of the chamber from a fluid path between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The valve seat is disposed in the fluid path and the valve stem extends through the gasket and directly engages the valve seat to selectively isolate an inlet side of the fluid path from an outlet side of the fluid path. Such a construction provides a fluid regulator with a reduced number of parts exposed to the regulated fluid flow.
