  • Publication number: 20140067662
Abstract: In a method for using an automatic machine by a user for processing a payment transaction with respect to an internet purchase between the user and an e-commerce provider, the e-commerce provider or the automatic machine requests an identification code for a payment transaction from a background system. The background system assigns an identification code, wherein the identification code identifies the internet purchase, and transmits the identification code to the e-commerce provider or the automatic machine. The e-commerce provider or the automatic machine transmits the identification code and/or a payment request to the user. The user makes a payment to the automatic machine and the automatic machine sends a confirmation of payment to the background system. Subsequently, the payment between the automatic machine and the background system and between the background system and an acquiring account is cleared.

  • Publication number: 20110119098
Abstract: In order to expand the area of application of a ticketing system that works based on a virtual ticket, a method for operating a ticketing system is proposed, in which a virtual ticket is generated, a user-dependent access code is allocated to the virtual ticket, the virtual ticket is stored together with the access code, the access code is stored in a separate data memory, and the virtual ticket is accessed by entering the access code stored in the separate data memory at an entry point of the ticketing system provided for this purpose.

  • Patent number: 7893811
Abstract: Method for automatically ascertaining the number of people and/or objects present in a gate (10; 50; 70) which has the following steps: detection of weight data for people and/or objects moving in the gate (10; 50; 70) by means of a plurality of weight sensors (18, 20, 22, 24) integrated in the floor of the gate (10; 50; 70) and evaluation of the detected weight data in order to ascertain the number of people/objects from their maximum values and from their dynamics and/or the number of detected centers of gravity and/or the position of the weight sensors (18, 20, 22, 24) which have detected the weight data, and/or the order in which the weight sensors (18, 20, 22, 24) have detected the weight data.

  • Patent number: 7841133
Abstract: A passage barrier (10) with two barrier elements (24, 26) and two mutually aligned shafts (16, 20) which are separate from each other and can be driven by separate motors (14, 22), whereby one barrier element (24, 26) is retained on each shaft (16, 20), and can be swivelled independent of the other barrier element (26, 24) by driving the corresponding shaft (16, 20).
