  • Publication number: 20160114441
Abstract: A device adapted for generating a rotatory ultrasonic vibration on a tool that includes a first part which is adapted for the rotationally fixed connection of the device to a spindle of a machine tool that rotates about an axis of rotation, and a second part which is adapted for the rotationally fixed connection of the device to a tool. The device also includes a claw coupling which is configured to connect the first and second parts for rotation with one another and has a form fit of at least one first flank on the first part and at least one second flank, lying opposite the first flank, on the second part. The device also includes at least one piezoelectric oscillation element arranged between first and second flanks of the claw coupling configured for generating a rotatory ultrasonic vibration about the axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 7980563
Abstract: A flat gasket for sealing a seal gap between engine component sealing faces wherein the flat gasket comprises at least one first and second gasket layer adjacent to the first gasket layer, wherein at least one elastomeric sealing element is disposed at the first gasket layer and is formed from a sealing material which is applied to the first gasket layer and can be cured in situ, wherein at least one cut-out is provided at the second gasket layer, through which cut-out the elastomeric sealing element extends when the flat gasket is in the fitted pressed state, and wherein the flat gasket comprises at least one overflow space which receives excess, as yet uncured sealing material during assembly of the flat gasket and is disposed at least partly laterally next to the sealing element when the flat gasket is in the unfitted, unpressed state.

  • Patent number: 7913386
Abstract: Flat gasket comprising a first sheet metal layer consisting of a spring steel and a second sheet metal layer consisting of a ductile steel, the first layer being provided with a sealing bead, and the second layer being provided in an edge area bordering on an edge of the layer with a thickened zone as supporting element for receiving pressing forces; to increase the design possibilities for such a supporting element, the latter is formed by at least one elongate arch of the second layer, which is stamped into the edge area of the second layer and extends approximately parallel to the free edge of the edge area, the arch being compressed in such a way that the metal volume of the supporting element is at least three times the total hollow space volume which the supporting element and two tangential planes abutting on the latter and extending parallel to the plane of the second layer include between them.

  • Publication number: 20070205565
Abstract: In order to provide a flat gasket for sealing a seal gap between component sealing faces, which can be pressed against the flat gasket, of engine components, wherein the flat gasket comprises at least one first gasket layer as well as a second gasket layer which is adjacent to the first gasket layer, wherein at least one elastomeric sealing element is disposed at the first gasket layer, which element is formed from a sealing material which is applied to the first gasket layer and can be cured in situ, and wherein at least one cut-out is provided at the second gasket layer, through which cut-out the elastomeric sealing element extends when the flat gasket is in the fitted state, which enables a reliable seal between the component sealing face concerned and the flat gasket to be obtained irrespective of tolerance-induced fluctuations in the height of a step in at least one of the component sealing faces, it is proposed that the flat gasket comprise at least one overflow space which receives excess, as yet uncur
