  • Publication number: 20240109248
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (01) for additively manufacturing an, in particular rotationally symmetric, component (02), said device (01) having a material application unit (03) which is movable along at least two axes and which has an extruder (04) and a nozzle (05) for applying a material strand (06), a rotary head (07) having a compressor (08) for compressing a material strand (06) and having a heating device (09) for heating at least one material application area (10) being disposed on the material application unit (03), the rotary head (07) being rotatable around the nozzle (05), and a control device (11) being comprised which is configured to control at least the rotary head (07) and the compressor (08) and the heating device (09).

  • Publication number: 20230241834
Abstract: An additive manufacturing method is disclosed in which an extrusion material is applied to a printing surface by a printhead in a plurality of layers arranged one on top of another along a z-axis, and relative movements in an x-axis and/or a y-axis of an x,y-axis plane extending perpendicular to the z-axis are performed between the printhead and the printing surface during the application. The method includes varying the swath width of the extrusion material extruded through one or more extrusion apertures of the printhead on the printing surface or one of the layers disposed thereon in response to the movement direction. Further disclosed are an associated computer-implemented method for 3D printing, associated 3D printheads, and an associated 3D printing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8747011
Abstract: A ball and socket joint, for example, for an axle system of a motor vehicle, as well as to a process for manufacturing a joint housing for a ball and socket joint. The ball and socket joint has an essentially annular joint housing (3), in the cylindrical interior space of which a ball shell (1) can be arranged. The ball (2) of a ball pivot can be accommodated in the ball shell (1) in a slidingly movable manner. The joint housing is of a smooth cylindrical design in the area of a housing cover-side functional section (14), while elevations (10) and/or depressions (15) are arranged in the area of a ball pivot-side functional section (13) of the inner jacket surface of the joint housing.

  • Patent number: 7447813
Abstract: Control device identification information or an identifier identifying the type of the corresponding control device is stored in a first and in a second control device. Version information identifying the sequence control of the corresponding control device, such as a version number, is stored in the first and in the second control device. The first control device transmits its first control device identification information and/or its first version information to the second control device. The second control device accesses a compatibility reference table. The compatibility reference table indicates which combinations of control device identification information and version information, and thus which control devices and their corresponding sequence controls will communicate with the second control device in a compatible manner.
