  • Publication number: 20150321270
Abstract: A shear, in particular a cross-cutting shear, for cutting flat material, including a upper blade support and a lower blade support, at least the upper blade support or the lower blade support being reciprocatingly displaceably guided and being displaceable by at least one adjustment device relative to the other respective blade support. The displaceable blade support is guided by the adjustment device and the adjustment device is designed so that it absorbs all the cutting forces and transversal forces.

  • Patent number: 8220303
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for winding and unwinding rolled strip (WB) discharging from a mill train (WS), in which apparatus the rolled strip (WB) discharging from the mill train (WS) is introduced by a set of bending rolls (BR) into a winding chamber (WK) having a rotationally driven roller pair (RP) and is wound into a coil (WB), and the coil is then put onto a roller table (GR) and unwound from these rollers with the direction of rotation being reversed and the start of the strip is fed to a driver device (RT). The apparatus is improved by a supporting slide (TS) which can be pushed into the winding chamber (WK) and in whose side walls a pivoted lever (SH) is mounted, the free end of which carries a pressure roller (AR) which can be put onto the rolled strip coil and pushes the latter out of the winding chamber (WK) onto the adjoining roller table (GR).

  • Patent number: 7942029
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for expanding the use of a coiling and uncoiling station (coilbox) located between the roughing train and the finishing train for rolled strip material in hot-rolling mills. The use of said coilbox is expanded by impinging the coil that is to be uncoiled with a pressing force (F) which acts in the direction of the roller table (4) and/or placing the coil in a depression of the roller table in order to process smaller coil weights in a spikeless coilbox, and/or by combining, in a chronological and weight-related manner, the active transfer and passive transfer of a coil from a first coiling station to a second coiling station in order to increase the throughput especially at average coil weights in a spikeless coilbox, and/or by supplying heat to the strip upstream or downstream of the spikeless coilbox and/or thermally insulating the strip or the coilbox in order to variably increase and homogenize the strip temperature.

  • Publication number: 20110017039
Abstract: The invention relates to a drum shear arrangement (1) having two rotatably driven drums (3, 4) arranged on a stand (2) with their axes extending parallel to each other, and provided, respectively, with a knife (5, 6) on their profiles, wherein upon passing a metal sheet in a gap between the drums (3, 4), under at least partial rotation of the drums, the metal sheet is cuttable, and wherein inlet and/or outlet side of the stand is provided with at least one first roller group (10, 11) displaceable in a region of the stand (2) and in a region between the drums (3, 4).

  • Publication number: 20100089113
Abstract: The invention relates to a drive roller (1), in particular for edge trimmers, in particular for use in the production of metal sheets and in particular in the area of plate or hot strip production, comprising a hub part (2), which is provided with a journal, and a running roller (4), which can be connected to the journal, wherein the running roller is formed with one or more channels for guiding a cooling fluid.

  • Patent number: 7293446
Abstract: The invention relates to a coil box, which is mounted between a roughing rolling train and a finishing rolling train, for metal pre-strips, in particular steel strips, which are hot wound to form coils and are protected against further cooling in the vicinity of a winding and/or unwinding station (6) by means of heat-shield devices (7) on the front faces (5a; 5b) of the coils. The aim of the invention is to universally configure said coil box. To achieve this, the heat-shield devices (7) are configured from lateral walls (8; 8b) that can be pivoted to rest against the front faces (5a; 5b) of the coils and a pair of opposing heat-shield devices (7) can be aligned in parallel to different coil widths (5c).

  • Publication number: 20040031367
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the double-sided edge-trimming of rolled sections and/or metal sheets, using rotary shears and cut-off shears for cutting up the cut-off edge, the cut-off shears being allocated to a respective set of rotary shears and being located below said rotary shears in an offset manner in relation to the line of travel of the product to be edge-trimmed. The device has a respective pair of drive rollers on the feed and discharge side of the rotary shears, each set of rotary shears (2, 2′), each set of cut-off shears (3, 3′) and each pair of drive rollers (4, 4′; 5, 5′) being positioned together on at least one base body (11, 11′). One base body (11, 11′) is fixed and the second base body (11, 11′) can be displaced and subsequently fixed in a setting for different edge-trimming widths of the rolled section and/or metal sheet.
