  • Publication number: 20230313054
Abstract: A process can be used for purifying a hydrocarbon stream containing at least Cx alkanes, Cx olefins, low boilers such as Cx?1 hydrocarbons, and high boilers such as Cx+1 hydrocarbons, with x=3 or 4. The process involves separating off low boilers and separating off high boilers, wherein the separating-off of high boilers is performed in the presence of hydrogen and hence a hydrogenation of the olefins present takes place.

  • Publication number: 20230251613
Abstract: An automation system includes function-providing components which offer functions, function-using components which access the functions, and at least one intermediary component. The function-providing components are configured to register with the intermediary component. The function-using components are configured to register with the intermediary component. When the function-using components require access to a specific function, they request from the at least one intermediary component a function-providing component that offers the specific function, wherein, if such a function-providing component is registered with the at least one intermediary component, the at least one intermediary component enables access to the specific function for the function-using component.

  • Patent number: 8873140
Abstract: An ATR objective (1) for an IR microscope has a Cassegrain objective (2), an ATR crystal (7), a holding bar (8) to one end of which on the side of the sample, the ATR crystal (7) is mounted, a holding element (10), thin struts (9) which rigidly connect the holding bar (8) to the holding element (10) and intersect an optical path of the ATR objective (1) entering or exiting the Cassegrain objective (2) in such a fashion that they shade less than 10% of the beam cross-section of the optical path, and a motor drive (12) for axial movement of the holding element (10) relative to the sample position (3). The automated ATR objective thereby enables simple adjustment of operating modes and different contact pressures of the ATR crystal with respect to a sample (19).

  • Patent number: 8608197
Abstract: An airbag module for a motor vehicle is provided. The airbag module comprising a gas bag, which is inflatable by means of a gas generator for the protection of a person, and a vent opening through which gas originating from the airbag module can escape, and a device for controlling the outlet cross-section of the vent opening, which comprises at least one covering member with which the vent opening can be covered, in order to at least partly close the same, and which furthermore comprises an actuating mechanism which cooperates with the covering member, in order to vary the outlet cross-section of the vent opening. The actuating mechanism includes a gas source and an element inflatable by means of the gas source, which during inflation cooperates with the covering member such that it effects a change in the outlet cross-section of the vent opening.

  • Publication number: 20120008196
Abstract: ATR (attenuated total reflection) objective (1) for an IR (infrared) microscope, comprising a Cassegrain objective (2) which focuses on a sample position (3) and the two mirrors (2a,2b) of which each have a central bore (5a, 5b), an ATR crystal (7), a holding bar (8) which is guided through the two central bores (5a, 5b) and to one end of which on the side of the sample, the ATR crystal (7) is mounted, a holding element (10) which is disposed in the area or beyond the side of the Cassegrain objective (2) facing away from the sample, thin struts (9) which rigidly connect the holding bar (8) to the holding element (10) and intersect an optical path of the ATR objective (1) entering or exiting the Cassegrain objective (2) in such a fashion that they shade less than 10% of the beam cross-section of the optical path, and a motor drive (12) for axial movement of the holding element (10) relative to the sample position (3).
