  • Patent number: 9081087
Abstract: A method for ascertaining and/or evaluating the fill-state of a container filled with at least one medium, wherein high-frequency, electromagnetic, measuring signals are emitted by a fill-level measuring device and received back as wanted echos reflected at an interface of the media. The electromagnetic, measuring signals are received back as an end echo reflected at a measuring range end, wherein, from the received wanted echos and the end echo, an echo curve is formed as a function of travel-time and/or the travel-distance, wherein, by means of a search algorithm integrated in the fill-level measuring device, number, existence and/or position of individual wanted echos and of the end echo in the echo curve are/is ascertained and applied for classifying the currently present fill-state in the container relative to predetermined, stored, fill situations in the container.

  • Publication number: 20070186645
Abstract: Fuel-, ballast-, utility- or freight-tanks of ships are frequently equipped with an open sounding tube, which serves for the mechanical sounding of the fill level of the medium in the tank. In the case of fill level measurements in the sounding tube with measuring devices, which work with microwave signals, it has been found that the wanted signals can be superimposed in a lower region of the sounding tube by strong disturbance signals, which come from the tank floor. In order to be able to determine reliably the fill level of the medium reliably in a tank equipped with such a sounding tube also by means of a microwave fill level measuring device, an arrangement is provided which includes a deflecting device for deflecting the microwave signals in an end region of the sounding tube. So that it will still be possible to perform sounding measurements in such tank using a mechanical sounding device, a microwave-transmissive support is provided for the plumb device in the region of the deflecting device.

  • Patent number: 7086598
Abstract: The present invention relates to a chipcard housing unit having a locking element which may be displaced parallel to the displacement plane of a chipcard. Individual locking elements are provided, mounted such as to be displaced between a cardholder and a control slide mounted thereon. Locking pins, provided on the locking element, engage in guides formed in the control slide. The ends of the locking elements are bent in a suitable manner, preferably hooked, and surround the front face of a chipcard located in the read/write position.

  • Patent number: 6954717
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for determining and/or monitoring a process variable. The aim of the invention is to provide a cost-effective, user-friendly device for determining and/or monitoring a process variable. The inventive device comprises the following elements: a sensor, a measuring/regulating/control unit which pre-defines at least one event to be determined or monitored, and at least one memory unit which stores data according to the at least one pre-defined event. The sensor, the measuring/regulating/control unit and the memory unit form a compact unit or an independent field appliance.

  • Patent number: 6905067
Abstract: The proposed guide shaft which is formed on a card holder has a support, lateral guides and a holding part. The latter is formed and arranged on the card holder in such a way that a tongue which points toward the entrance of the guide shaft and rests in a sprung fashion on the support or on a chip card which has been introduced is implemented, and a gap which corresponds only to the thickness of the chip card is produced between the card holder and the support in the vicinity of the contact field.
