Abstract: The present invention relates to regulatory sequences which mediate dendritic cell-specific expression. The regulatory sequences are isolated from the human fascin gene and also comprise for instance promoter sequences. Moreover, described are recombinant nucleic acid molecules and vectors which contain the regulatory sequences and as preferred embodiments, recombinant nucleic acid molecules and vectors encoding antigens or immunoregulatory proteins. Furthermore, the invention relates to host cells, which contain the recombinant nucleic acid molecules or vectors, and to methods for their preparation. Other embodiments relate to in vitro methods for stimulating T-cells and for preparing T cell-stimulating dendritic cells and for formulating them as pharmaceutical compositions.
