  • Publication number: 20240029234
Abstract: The described method as a key enabler for Optical Inspection dynamically uses individual marks like fiducials, barcodes, data matrix codes (“markers”) in the scenes, beyond their basic presence, meaning the change of situation between a first processing status and a subsequent processing status in the processing station. The same markers are simultaneously used for: the identification of components (“comp”); the identification of locations (“loc”); the definition of dependencies between identity and location (valid, invalid); and the automated detection and evaluation of the dependencies.

  • Patent number: 11014193
Abstract: A method and a control device for deflection of a laser beam for laser-based additive manufacturing processes includes first and second orthogonally rotatable mirrors designed to reflect the laser beam and guide the laser beam to an irradiation field. The first mirror and the second mirror are secured on respective first and second shafts, with the first mirror performing a continuous first vibration with a first frequency, and the second mirror performing a continuous second vibration with a second frequency different from the first frequency and/or with a phase difference with respect to the first vibration. Each of the two shafts has a known position such that the first vibration is synchronous with the second vibration. The laser is activated/deactivated upon reaching/leaving an irradiation point. The generated vibrations of the mirrors describe a continuous Lissajous curve.

  • Patent number: 9694497
Abstract: A method for controlling a robot, which is designed to be operated in a working mode, in which a part of the robot is moved at a speed at which there is a risk of injury to a person. The working mode is deactivated if a safety device detects that the person has entered an action region of the displaceable part. The aim is to make close cooperation possible between the person and the robot. A sensor unit determines a position and a posture of the person while the person is outside the action region of the part. A prediction unit determines an action region of the person. A collision monitoring unit monitors whether the two action regions overlap. The robot can optionally be switched from the working mode into a safety mode.

  • Publication number: 20120206261
Abstract: A machine classifier classifies signals of an industrial plant and determines a current state as a result. On the basis of the current state, an audio profile is selected from a number of audio profiles and issued in the form of a synthetically generated acoustic signal to a plant operator. For that purpose, the state of the industrial plant is continuously evaluated and, for example, with the aid of a MIDI sequencer, is used to manipulate different tracks of a piece of music or of synthetically generated artificial background noise. In this way, the plant operator is able to discern intuitively, and optionally even subliminally, divergences from a normal operation of the industrial plant, which can only be communicated to the operator via the overloaded visual channel with great difficulty, or not at all. The plant operator can therefore learn of the state of the industrial plant via the auditory sense or learn that in certain situations the industrial plant does not sound right.
