  • Publication number: 20230056945
Abstract: An imaging system for inspecting multiple objects includes an x-ray source having a beam width greater than or equal to a threshold beam size. The multiple objects is irradiated by the x-ray source in respective controlled inspection positions. A detection mechanism is adapted to acquire respective images of the multiple objects in the respective controlled inspection positions. The detection mechanism includes one or more detectors arranged circumferentially around a central axis. At least one positioning mechanism is adapted to move the multiple objects into and out of the respective controlled inspection positions.

  • Publication number: 20140123606
Abstract: In a process for introducing individual products into containers by means of an automated line comprising at least two insertion robots, individual products are individually gripped and transferred to containers inside a transfer region. The individual products and the containers are delivered in synchronization on at least one transportation device for the individual products and on at least one transportation device for the containers. The delivery of a next container to be filled into the transfer region of the automated line is controlled by a metering device. Metering is effected at a position relative to the exit of the transfer region.

  • Patent number: 8549818
Abstract: In a process for introducing individual products into containers by means of a picker line comprising at least two pickers individual products are individually picked and transposed to containers. The individual products and the containers are delivered in counterflow on at least one transportation device for the individual products and on at least one transportation device for the containers. The delivery of a next container to be filled into the transposition area of the picker line is controlled by any picker. The picker which is controlling the delivery of the next container to be filled is determined by the number of currently introduced products at the infeed of the picker line.

  • Publication number: 20110129323
Abstract: A device for displacing and positioning an object in space has a base element, three motor/transmission units stationarily mounted on the base element, and three arms. Each arm has a first end connected to the driving axle of a motor/transmission unit via a connecting flange each with a single degree of freedom and a second end articulated to a common support element. At least one gripper for gripping the object is mounted on the support element. A control and/or regulation unit on the base handles planning of movement of the support element and regulation of the motor/transmission units.

  • Publication number: 20080141813
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for displacing and positioning an object in space. Said device comprises a base element (1), three motor/transmission units (3) stationarily mounted on the base element (1), three arms (4, 5) which, at a first end, are firmly connected to the driving axle (2) of a motor/transmission unit (3) via a connecting flange (15) each with a single degree of freedom and which, at a second end, are articulated to a common support element (8) on which at least one gripper (8) for gripping the object is provided. A control and/or regulation unit (17) is provided on the base (1) and handles planning of movement of the support element (8) and regulation of the motor/transmission units (3).

  • Patent number: 6543987
Abstract: A robot for handling products in a three-dimensional space is described. The robot comprises a base (1) on which three arms (9) are pivotably supported to pivote around three pivote axes (3) arranged in a common axes plane (4). The three axes form a triangle with three corners. Each arm is mounted on a shaft (2) of a servo motor (6). All motors (6) are connected to a controller (8). Three connecting linkages (19) connect the free ends of the arms (9) to a carrier (22) which is movable in space in all three linear dimensions and prevented from rotation around all three rotative dimensions. A telescopic fourth linkage (43) connects a gripper (30) rotatably supported on the carrier (22) by two joints (42, 46) with a fourth serve motor (48) fixed to the base (1). In the axes plane (4) the base has an opening (52) through which the fourth linkage (43) extends. The upper joint (46) of the fourth linkage (43) is on an opposite side of the axes plane (4) than the carrier (22).
