    Abstract: A hearing device has a signal processor which has an adjustable parameter that has a given setting at a given time. The parameter is set depending on the situation by selecting a setting, depending on an environmental situation and by a learning machine. A current setting of the parameter can be rated by feedback from a user. In a first training procedure the learning machine is passively trained by negative feedback signals, by rating feedback from the user as dissatisfaction with the current setting and by assuming the user's satisfaction with the current setting as long as no feedback is given. In a second training procedure the learning machine is trained by changing the current setting independently of the feedback from the user and in spite of an assumed satisfaction with the current setting, so that the user is offered a different setting which can then be rated by feedback.

A first configuration for the digital filter is stored in the signal processing device, resulting in the digital filter having a first filtering effect, a second configuration for the digital filter is stored in the signal processing device, resulting in the digital filter having a second, reduced filtering effect. A triggerable time-controlled adaptation process is stored in the signal processing device. The first configuration is specified as a starting configuration and the adaptation process is executed after being triggered by the signal processing device, thereby transferring the configuration from the first configuration to the second configuration. A hearing aid configured to carry out the method is also provided.

    Abstract: A method for individualized signal processing of an audio signal of a hearing device. In a recognition phase, an auxiliary device generates a first image capture. A conclusion is reached based on the first image capture regarding the presence of a preferred conversation partner, and thereupon a first audio sequence of the audio signal and/or of an auxiliary audio signal of the auxiliary device is analyzed for characteristic speaker identification parameters. The speaker identification parameters ascertained from the first audio sequence are stored in a database. In an application phase, the audio signal is analyzed with respect to the stored speaker identification parameters, and is thereby evaluated with respect to a presence of the preferred conversation partner. When the preferred conversation partner is detected as being present, the partner's signal contributions in the audio signal are amplified.

The signal processing unit switches from a first one of the processing algorithms to a second one of the processing algorithms if a decision is made in the decision unit that one of the microphones is defective. In particular, if a microphone fails, automatic switching from directional microphone operation into omnidirectional operation is for example made possible.

A signal processing section of the hearing aid has a demixing module for separating audio signals and a postprocessor module which sets up a hold mode of operation for the hearing aid. An audio signal, which is preferred by the hearing aid wearer, from an ambient sound, is tracked and selected by virtue of the hearing aid wearer transmitting to the hearing aid a command which sets up the hold mode of operation in the signal processing section of the hearing aid for a certain period. The signal processing section tracks the preferred audio signal and selectively takes account of it in an output sound from the hearing aid such that it is audibly highlighted for the hearing aid wearer in comparison with another audio signal and is thereby perceived better.

    Abstract: The provision of an individually adapted hearing aid for a patient is intended to be effected more quickly. A method is therefore provided by which, firstly, hearing loss data, in particular an audiogram, are generated by a person skilled in the art for example an ENT specialist, and the hearing loss data are transmitted to a manufacturer. Using a perceptive model based on the hearing loss data, the manufacturer selects a hearing aid and matches the hearing aid to the patient by means of the perceptive model. Finally, the manufacturer delivers the adapted hearing aid directly or indirectly to the patient. Due to the simplified workflow during the adaptation, the waiting times for the provision of the hearing aid are reduced for the patient.
