  • Publication number: 20130222034
Abstract: A circuit adapted to generate a high speed shaped pulse comprising an input adapted to receive a data signal and a control signal. A plurality of logic elements are configures to receive the data signal and the control signal and generate a plurality of output signals representative of the shaped pulse. A digital to analog converter is adapted to receive the plurality of output signals and generate a shaped pulse.

  • Publication number: 20070115145
Abstract: The present invention relates to a direction indicator control device for vehicles, particularly trucks, comprising a driving unit (16) for activating a left and/or right direction indicator in response to a driving command, a transmitting unit (12) for transmitting a start command, and a receiving unit (14). The receiving unit (14) comprises a receiver (24) for receiving said start command; a memory (28) storing at least one sequence of driving commands, and a selection and control circuit (30) adapted to select any one of the sequences of driving commands stored in the memory in response to the start command and to transmit the driving commands of the selected sequence to the driving unit as to activate the direction indicators.

  • Publication number: 20060212504
Abstract: An analog electronic circuit is proposed that e.g. computes the symbol likelihoods for PAM or QAM signal constellations. The circuit has at least one set of M transistors connected to a common current source. A multiplier/adder generates the voltages to be applied to the transistors from a value y and a set of M expected values in such a way that the currents through the transistors correspond to the likelihood that the value y corresponds to the expected values. The circuit can be used for signal demodulation and various other applications.

  • Patent number: 4990792
Abstract: What is described is a method of applying optically readable code marks (14) to the surface of bottles (10) of plastics material or glass by producing depressions in the surface by means of a laser (12) in such a manner that the bottom of each code mark (14) is constructed in the form of a diffusely scattering reflector. A sensor (16) constructed from optical fibres with emitting optical fibres disposed centrally and receiving optical fibres arranged radially is used for the automatic reading of the code marks. The sensor forms an angle of less than 90.degree. with the surface of the bottle so that light is only reflected into the sensor at places on the surface where there are code marks (14). The code marks (14) are easy to apply and can be read reliably.

  • Patent number: 4803325
Abstract: A resistance seam welding machine is described, particularly for the longitudinal seam welding of can bodies, wherein, in the secondary loop (16), feed and return lines are constructed partially as a double line (18, 28) and in all the remaining portion (18a, 18b, 18c, 20, 24, 26) in the form of a substantially coaxial line. The voltage loss occurring in the secondary loop (16) between welding transformer (14) and welding position (8, 10) and the heat due to energy losses in the machine parts adjacent to the secondary loop are considerably reduced as a result of this construction of the feed return lines.

  • Patent number: 4674435
Abstract: A device for applying a protective coating to the weld or solder seam of a can body has an application roller (2) serving to apply a coating material inside a region covering the seam at the inside (15) of the can body. The roller periphery has a cross-sectional profile (5) comprising at least one depression (10) in a middle region (9) of a middle portion (6) having a region width of less than 60% of the width of the middle portion (6). The profile (5) further comprises at least one salient point and/or at least two points of inflection in this middle region (9). The device renders it possible to achieve optimum layer thicknesses of the coating over the seam, which are neither too little for the stresses occurring during the long-term storage of corrosive liquids nor too great for the tearing strength stressing of the coating which occurs during the flanging over of the edges of the can body.
