  • Publication number: 20070095655
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrode assembly for the electrochemical treatment of liquids with a low conductivity. Said assembly comprises electrodes (1, 2), between which a polymer solid electrolyte (3) is situated. The electrodes are pressed against one another by means of a compression device (9, 10; 91) and are configured in such a way that the assembly can be traversed by the liquid To produce said assembly simply and to ensure that it is flexible and easy to use, the compression device (9, 10; 91) is supported on the electrodes (1, 2).

  • Publication number: 20050139487
Abstract: In a method for the treatment of an object made of silicon or an inorganic, optionally organically modified, silicon compound, an oxidizing agent is prepared by electrolysis of an aqueous solution in an electrolysis device. The anode of the electrolysis device is a silicon electrode. The anode has an overvoltage for oxygen so that upon electrolysis of water the formation of hydrogen peroxide is preferred over that of oxygen. The aqueous solution used in electrolysis contains at least one reactive component or a constituent that is converted by electrolysis of the solution into a reactive component. The object to be treated is contacted with the freshly prepared oxidizing agent. The oxidizing agent is circulated and returned into the electrolysis device to be regenerated.

  • Patent number: 6850598
Abstract: The invention relates to an x-ray anode and a process for its manufacture. The x-ray anode is characterized in that the anode material is embodied as a layer on a diamond window. The x-ray anode is preferably used with x-ray units which require as selective as possible x-radiation production to achieve as high as possible radiation intensity. Use in x-ray microscopes in which a high radiation intensity guarantees the highest resolutions is particularly preferred.

  • Patent number: 6558380
Abstract: An instrument for surgical purposes, especially for coagulation, is proposed. This instrument has at least one arm, the tips of the arms having electrical contact regions which can be electrically connected to a control unit for touching a tissue for the purpose of coagulation. The contact regions are formed from doped diamond to produce the electrical conductivity.

  • Patent number: 6533916
Abstract: An electrode consisting of a substrate and a diamond layer applied to the substrate, in which the applied diamond layer is pore-free, and a process for producing a diamond-coated electrode, in which the process comprises at least the following steps: a) cleaning the surface of the substrate; b) seeding the surface of the substrate with a high diamond nucleation density; c) coating the surface of the substrate with diamond.

  • Publication number: 20020072746
Abstract: An instrument for surgical purposes, especially for coagulation, is proposed. This instrument has at least one arm (2), the tips (4) of the arms having electrical contact regions (6, 7), which can be electrically connected to a control unit (12), for touching a tissue (13) for the purpose of coagulation. The contact regions are formed from doped diamond to produce the electrical conductivity.
