  • Publication number: 20200070788
Abstract: A motor vehicle system comprising a first electric parking brake actuation unit assigned to a first vehicle wheel, and a second electric parking brake actuation unit assigned to a second vehicle wheel. The system further comprises a first control unit which includes at least one first microprocessor and which is designed to control the first electric parking brake actuation unit and does not allow the second electric parking brake actuation unit to be controlled. Furthermore, a second control unit is provided which comprises at least one second microprocessor and which is designed to control the second electric parking brake actuation unit and does not allow the first electric parking brake actuation unit to be controlled. The redundancy of the two control units increases the system safety. At the same time, the system complexity remains low since no individual control unit has to be designed to control all of the electric parking brake actuation units.

  • Publication number: 20190381987
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a vehicle brake system which includes the following steps: (1) determining a first wear value, which indicates wear of the friction lining of the vehicle brake, by taking into account at least one of the relevant parameters related to the operational history of the vehicle; (2) In dependence upon whether the first wear value meets a predetermined criterion, measuring the wear of the friction lining by moving the parking brake unit and by recording the curve of operating parameters of the parking brake unit while moving; (3) determining, based on the measurement, a second wear value, which indicates wear of the friction lining of the vehicle brake. The present disclosure also relates to a vehicle braking system, as well as a computer program and a control unit for implementing the method.

  • Patent number: 9626164
Abstract: A method of selecting reusable programming implementations from a code repository for inclusion in a programming project is disclosed. A test is received at a software development tool installed on a system. The test is communicated to an application executing on an additional system for processing. The processing includes determining a result representing an application of the test by the application to each programming implementation of a first search set of programming implementations of a plurality of programming implementations in a code repository. The result includes a first result set of programming implementations selected from the plurality of programming implementations based on each programming implementation of the first result set satisfying the test. The result is received from the additional system. An option is provided to select a programming implementation from the first result set. The selected programming implementation is automatically included in the programming project.

  • Patent number: 9471304
Abstract: In various example embodiments, a version control server controls the versioning and modification of source code by representing the source code as a tree structure. The tree structure includes various nodes, which represent constituent parts of the source code. Changes to the source code are reflected in changes to the tree structure, such as by deleting or inserting nodes. The version control server identifies a list of changes made to the source code via the tree structure, and obtains a successor version of the source code by applying a list of node changes. The version control server also manages changes to the source code by multiple users by recording and associating the tree structure of the source code when it was checked-out by each user. When a user checks the source code back in, attempts to modify the source code by merging and/or modifying the corresponding tree structure.

  • Publication number: 20160186957
Abstract: The invention relates to a cooling device for a headlight of a motor vehicle, in particular for a laser headlight. The cooling device comprises a cooling body for thermal contacting a light source of the headlight and one or more passive air guides. A respective air guide comprises an inlet conduit and an outlet conduit so that, while the motor vehicle is moving, outside air from outside the headlight is fed to the cooling body via the inlet conduit and the outside air is discharged again via the outlet conduit. The outside air enters the inlet conduit via an inlet opening and exits the outlet conduit via an outlet opening, both openings positioned remotely from the cooling body. The cooling device may be positioned in the motor vehicle such that, while the motor vehicle is moving, the air pressure at the inlet opening is higher than the air pressure at the outlet opening.
