  • Publication number: 20240035487
Abstract: A fan having an impeller comprising blades, an electric motor driving the impeller, and a scroll housing, wherein a flow channel is formed by the inner contour of the scroll housing, wherein an inlet nozzle, designed as a rotating body in an embodiment, is provided on the inflow side, and wherein the flow channel guides the air aspirated by the inlet nozzle via the impeller to an outlet, is characterized in that the inlet nozzle is surrounded by an inflow area having an inflow surface, which expands the inlet nozzle essentially in the radial direction, i.e., transversely to the impeller axis. A scroll housing is designed accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20230213042
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to a housing for a fan that is constructed by cutting, bending, and/or folding a single sheet of metal. A disclosed housing is configured to house a fan having a motor that is configured to rotate around an axial direction. The housing includes a first plate that is oriented in a plane that is perpendicular to the axial direction and substantially flat wall regions extending away from the first plate so as to be non-coplanar with the first plate. The housing further includes a second plate having an air intake nozzle, the second plate oriented perpendicularly to the axial direction and thereby oriented parallel to the first plate and located a first distance along the axial direction from the first plate, with the first distance being determined by a length of the wall regions. The wall regions are configured to include air flow openings.

  • Publication number: 20230121923
Abstract: A support module for a fan, which includes a motor and a fan impeller driven in rotation by the motor, in an embodiment for a radial or diagonal fan, for fastening the fan impeller between a nozzle plate on the inflow side and a base plate lying opposite the nozzle plate at a distance, wherein the motor is non-rotatably mounted with the fan impeller on or in the base plate and is held on the nozzle plate by means of struts extending between the base plate and the nozzle plate characterized in that the struts are adjusted to the flow exiting the fan impeller with a compact design. A fan is provided with a corresponding support module.

  • Patent number: 11371730
Abstract: A disclosed fan system includes a housing having side walls, an inflow side, and an outflow side; a fan secured in the housing by a mounting; and a backflow blocker mounted to the side walls within the housing on the outflow side of the housing partially blocking a cross-sectional area of the outflow side. The backflow blocker is positioned approximately centrally in a flow path of the housing and is configured to block part of an airflow cross section such that, between side walls of the housing and side walls of the backflow blocker, an annular duct is formed as an air passage. Further, the backflow blocker has a thickness that is greater than 5% of a width of the housing, and is less than 20% of an axial design height of the fan system.

  • Patent number: 11067097
Abstract: Disclosed is a ventilator with an electrical drive and at least one rotating or non-rotating functional unit associated with the drive or with a structural component of the drive for generating and/or influencing an air current, wherein the functional unit is arranged coaxially around the drive or in front of it or after it, and wherein the association takes place directly or indirectly in a positive and non-positive manner by the intermeshing and mutual bracing of connection means.
