  • Publication number: 20240092749
Abstract: A process for the epoxidation of propene involves reacting propene with hydrogen peroxide, in the presence of a methanol solvent and a shaped titanium zeolite epoxidation catalyst in a fixed bed reactor. The process then involves recovering methanol from the reaction mixture, treatment of the recovered methanol by passing it through a bed of an acidic ion exchange resin, and recycling the treated methanol to the epoxidation reaction; as well as regeneration of the acidic ion exchange resin. Catalyst breakage can be reduced or avoided by washing the regenerated bed of an acidic ion exchange resin with methanol until the methanol exiting the resin bed has an apparent pH higher than 1.8, before methanol treated with the acidic ion exchange resin is recycled to the epoxidation reaction.

  • Patent number: 9677914
Abstract: An optoelectronic sensor for recognizing object edges of objects comprises at least three light transmitters which are arranged such that at least two different spacings result between two respective light transmitters. For recognizing an object edge, an evaluation unit is configured to carry out a common evaluation of an image taken by a light receiver of a light spot generated by the transmitted light beams of a first light transmitter and of an image taken by a light receiver of a light spot generated by the transmitted light beams of another light transmitter. The pair of light transmitters to be used for the common evaluation can be selected in dependence on a selection criterion from at least two differently spaced apart pairs of light transmitters.

  • Publication number: 20070183671
Abstract: A sequence of data (b) entered into a compression device is selectively either compressed or not compressed, then supplied by the compression device as compressed or uncompressed data (b°, s°). A status information item (S) in a sequence of supplied data (b° , s°) is overwritten by the compression device through at least one value of the supplied data before being supplied. The sequence of supplied data (b°, s°) is composed of compressed and uncompressed data (b°, s°).

  • Patent number: 6848263
Abstract: A setting system for a vehicle air-conditioner is provided. The setting system allows for individual settings coupled with ergonomic functionality. The setting system comprises a control panel with a touch-sensitive display screen connected to a microcomputer-based controller having control outputs at least to a fan unit, to air distribution valves and to temperature adjusters of the air-conditioner. The display screen is adapted to display current settings and available setting options of at least (i) air flow rate, (ii) air distribution and (iii) air temperature, in the form of analog symbol representations that respond to tactile contact to vary current settings.

  • Publication number: 20030216842
Abstract: The invention relates to a device that facilitates the control of units forming part of the equipment of a vehicle. The device comprises an input device for the purpose of inputting actions (such as communication, entertainment, . . . ) that are part of a set of pre-determined actions that can be realised by at least one of the units, and to transform the inputs into a signal representing the action, a memory in which is filed a relational database in which each action from the set is allocated to at least one unit that can realise that action, and a control unit that is connected to the input device, the memory and the units.

  • Publication number: 20030071853
Abstract: The control system has a touch-sensitive input field (touchpad). Symbols are entered on the surface of the touchpad by tracing rough lines. The lines are interpreted in relation to a particular control context. In each particular control context, only a limited set of a few symbols are valid, thereby permitting symbols to be reliably recognised even when they are traced with a fingertip.

  • Publication number: 20030071795
Abstract: The command input system has a display screen and a touch-sensitive input field. On the input field, there is a spatial relationship with options shown on the display field of the display screen. The input field conveys tactile feedback about the available and/or executed actions. The command input system is especially well-suited for use in vehicles since it does not require constant eye contact with the display field.

  • Publication number: 20030067562
Abstract: For time-shifted reproduction of broadcast audio/video information that is received continuously and, from case to case, suppressed from reproduction by information of a higher priority such as a traffic announcement, the temporarily suppressed information continues to be received and is buffered on a storage medium.
