  • Patent number: 11000947
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a coating plant robot (1), in particular as a manipulating robot (1) for opening or closing a motor vehicle bodywork during a painting process, comprising a robot kinematic system (6-15) for moving an effector (14) in the space. The disclosure provides that the robot kinematic system (6-15) has a first robot arm (8) with a parallel kinematic system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 5, 2016
Date of Patent: May 11, 2021
    Assignee: Dürr Systems AG
    Inventor: Matthias Imle
  • Patent number: 10464082
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a coating system for coating components with a coating agent, in particular a painting system for painting motor vehicle bodywork components, comprising a first coating system component (12, 13) which during operation produces waste heat as a by-product and forms a heat source, and a second coating system component (1, 5) which is heated during operation and forms a heat sink. The disclosure provides that the waste heat of the first coating system component (12, 13) is fed to the second coating system component (1, 5) for heating. The disclosure further relates to a corresponding operating method.

  • Publication number: 20170266808
Abstract: A handling device is provided for opening a flap portion of a component part to be coated, in particular for opening a door or hood of a motor-vehicle body component part in a painting installation. The handling device includes a handling robot with a robot arm and a gripper mounted on the robot arm. The gripper is configured for engaging an engagement region or grip region on the flap to be opened, to enable the handling robot to open the flap with the gripper. The handling device further includes a sensor for non-contact sensing of the position of the gripper relative to the flap, to enable the gripper to be positioned relative to the engagement region on the flap. The sensor measures the distance from the handling device to the outside of the flap to be opened.
